I am looking at getting a Windows tablet to use instead of my aging laptop. I am torn between the Linx 10" from amazon at £159 which I think you can trade in an old tablet and get £50 back or the Hp Slate 8 which has 2 years of data allowance included at the same price. Does anyone have an opinion to which is better. The 10" screen size of the linx appeals but then the Hp data also could be useful.

Isn't the HP one Android? I am not sure Have a look at Dell Venue 8 Pro, too, I used that one and apart from too a small screen it was fine. The Linx 10'' has 1280x800 screen resolution which is just about acceptable for me. I prefer 10'' for a tablet, 8'' is a little too fiddly for me.

I'd go for the HP, because of the data included, although they report ~6 hours of battery life, Linx ~6-8hours, Dell Venue Pro ~10 hours.
