Humax S1001 Box

Hi
Can any one help with a problem with my new Humax Box? It is frozen on one channel and will not answer to any controls either on the remote or the box itself, apart from the volume control.
I have disconnected the power supply and left it unconnected for various periods of time but to no avail.
I've replaced the batteries in the remote.
I can't think of anything else to try...............

No such model as far as I can tell. Definitely not a UK Freesat+ box.

Sorry, my mistake, it is HDR1000S, bought direct from Humax UK.

How long did you leave the power removed ? - Try leaving the power off for 15 mins.

I take it the menu button on the remote doesn't work so you can't do a reset to factory defaults ? If you talk to Humax , they may send you a reset file that you apply using a usb stick.

Have you access to a smartphone or tablet, and is your box connected to a home network ?

Failing that sounds like a replacement box is called for.

Thanks fr that.
I've tried power off for 15mins+. I don't have a tablet etc, only my pc.
I didn't know that Humax can send a reset file I'll call them this afternoon.

Why - it has a full 12 month warranty.

Standards have fallen at Humax.

Manager's specials are returns this unit could have been sent out without adequate refurbishment.

If new take advantage of the two warranty and get it replaced. No need to mess around Humax need to manufacture to higher standards.
