Best budget iPod speakers??

Can anybody assist this old fogey please and recommend a half decent pair of speakers (docking station) for a 160Gb iPod Classic?
I understand (I think) that my iPod has a 30 pin connector rather than the newer 'Lightning' connector.
Something in the region of £50 is all I can afford unfortunately.
They are needed only for when I'm outdoors gardening or sunbathing!
I suspect I will use an extension cable in order to power them and will need to move the speakers and the iPod around whilst I'm gardening - but if a decent battery life is offered then that too might be an option.
I read all the reviews I can via Google but got terribly confused!!
Thanks in advance,
Pete

I bought a Klipsch sxt when they were available briefly on Amazon for around £40 , considering it was around a fifth the price of my Bose ipod dock it did a really creditable impression , however they don't seem to be available anymore and your budget seems a little low to get anything worthwhile , especially if you want to use it outside . You could get a bluetooth speaker but it's not going to be too loud .
