LOL...Another race-thread again...whoopsie!! I just wanted to get this off my chest!
People tend to say that race is not a factor in reality television and it is really their character and personality but for this to happen continously...I find quite hard to believe.

Did not see big brother 1 but from what i know.... the final 3 were Craig, Darren and a female(forgot her name)...As soon as the public started voting... Darren was out first.. (LOL um...im not saying because he didnt win that the public is racist just bear with me)

Big Brother 2.....The public votes...Narinder is eliminated as the public has their say.....Amma also voted out as soon as she is put up to the public vote.....

Big Brother 3... Alision is voted out as soon as she is put up for the public vote..... Adele is evicted ...Lee is evicted (all on first public votes)

Big Brother 4...... Gos is evicted on his first vote...

But in saying this mixed raced people have done slightly better than the above.... Ray Shah (Indian/Irish) came 2nd....Kenzie (Indian/Irish) came 2nd also....

If you are BLACK or ASIAN and if your not an Indian/Irish mixed person then you will have no chance in coming second! lol

Does Trevor Phillips know about this?

one point: without Endemols interference the last 2 BB's could've been won by black people: BB4-either Ray or Jon Tickle( both mixed race) and BB5 by Victor

Hmmm....lets look at who was first evicted from each of the BB's

BB1 - Sada
BB2 - Penny
BB3 - Lynne
BB4 - Anouska
BB5 - Kitten/Emma/Vanessa*

Conclusion:
If you're a female housemate, expect to be evicted first

(An equally bull theory brought to you courtesy of dawson )

*BB5 had Kitten evicted without nomination, Emma was then booted out, Vanessa was the first to be evicted following nomination and public voting

I couldnt agree more. Its hard to imagina an ethnic person winning. I mean why was anouska so unpopular, because she was beautiful but not the girl next door type. I think girls would prefer to see a girl who represents themselves such as kate to win. I really liked Victor, i personally thought that he provided us with a lot of entertainment and deserved to win.

OK perhaps I was generalising a bit. I'm not going to get into an argument about race because it can get a bit messy.......BTW you don't have to nit-pick all my posts you know!......

I still think its the personalities that make you notice. Iam a asian and I think I can be a ideal contestant and hugely popular. I still think they should select asian people for the character, not any all just for the sake that they have to have a minority person to show
equality. I think and by my experience that most asian Indian/Pakistanis have really strong personalities, they are bitchy, backbiting, gossipy and pompous and at the same time can be likeable, they can totally change the dynamics of the house. Also considering the fact in Asia
tv soaps cant run unless they have a totally bitchy, shit stirring charcter, and it is mostly these characters that get most of the fame.

You can't tell?
Just look at the pictures above and tell me you can't tell.

It's not that ethnic minorities are discriminated against winning BB - it's that the representatives of the ethnic minorities in BB haven't done anything to deserve winning.

Darren and Dean - yes, I know they were out first in the final, but they did GET to the final. Ray got to the final as well.

Victor WOULD have gotten to the final had Shell not sealed his fate. And he was disliked by some people for his scheming.

Lee in BB3 was boring and irritating. Narinder in BB2 was ace but she was very bitchy. Amma was an interesting housemate but couldn't survive against the person that managed to take down Bubble the week before.

Oh, and Anouska? That was a traversty, but it was more to do with her being percieved as too 'loud' through first impressions than anything to do with race. Some on this thread have argued she would have survived if she was a 'girl next door' type - but Vanessa was arguably that type and got booted out first by public vote.

Vanessa is hardly girl next door- she is too attractive. It annoys me how girls get so jealous when they vote and always vote off the pretty girls!

I didn't vote Vainessa off because she was pretty. IMO she was a stuck up cow, who thought herself better than anyone else
So jealous, nah, don't think so somehow..............

I can admit that she may not have been the most exciting character but neither was shell.....Please explain how she was stuck up? Just because she didnt take off her clothes??

Basically out of the 12 people in that house, Vanessa was the most boring. Argue that all you want, but at least Shell, Dan and Stuart had their moments.

Vanessa just sat around looking pretty all day and positively sulked when anyone disagreed with her. It was like Kate Lawler in overdrive.

Dont get me wrong I am certainly not a vanessa fan, It just interested me that in most reality shows pretty girls are voted off first while most of the winners are good looking guys or plain looking girls.

Oh, I totally agree with you, that's often the case. It can get annoying at times. I sometimes sit there and think: "God, can't a guy get voted off Big Brother first this time!?"

The only thing I can think of is that girls can be bitchier at times than guys, who tend to "stick together" more. As a result, the guys are likely to nominate just girls when nominations come around, whereas girls are more likely to nominate a mix of sexes. Therefore it ends up that females are generally put on the nomination platform first before long-term friendships are made between guys and girls and the house begins to operate as one team.

As for the voting thing... I think it is a mixture of bitchiness and jealousy on us girls' part. We tend to look at women in a more critical light. And more women vote than men. I think it's an insecurity thing.

BTW, I always vote objectively with the main aim of keeping the exciting ones in, but that's just my theory.

going on the subject of girls being voted out first, in BB4 I thought Jon Tickle was a dead cert to go first. I went out for the evening and I was amazed to see him still in the house when I got back....

No, I think 'shrieky girls' are most in danger........

The other HMs nom them because they're so damn loud and the GBP vote 'em out.

In the first day or two Anouska was very shrieky

and while where on with the "why didn`t a black win" rubbish..

why has there been NO disabled/blind/deaf/mute people on this show?

why has there been no Orientals?

why hasn`t there been a Disabled black lesbian single mother?

how can this happen in a society where everybody is equal?

smartgirl

People arent going to be picked to go on the show just because they are disabled /oriental/deaf blind etc, everyone is judged equally and it just so happens that not many oriental/disabled/ deaf/blind people apply.
