Good question, but TBH, I think that's just how she is.
I think she's incredibly tough on the outside and there's plenty of people in there still for her to latch on to.

I always think this kind of friendship is the 'keep your enemies' close kind.
she will have been glad that Chloe's gone now and out of her way.
