The new album No Cities to Love from the reunited Sleater Kinney. I'm a total 90's Riot Grrl so I'm a sucker for this. They are touring so I'm very excited to see them.

My Garden, Kat Dahlia. It's a mixture of hip hop, reggae and R&B. She's kind of a more artistic Rihanna or Mary J. Blige. She has a really unique tone to her voice. Generally I'm not a big R&B fan but she's great.

This new band called Menace Beach who have their debut album Rat World. It's a mix of 90s grunge and shoegaze.

Next we have a band called 1886 who capture the bluesy psyche rock sounds of the late 60s/early 70s nicely with Before the Fog Covers the Mount. This is my favourite release of the month so far.

More sounds of the 70s here with Tarot's The Warrior's Spell. There's a whole mesh of influences in there and it works.

The new Belle and Sebastian album is as wonderful as expected.

Cool! I like some of their older music, but didn't realize they were still recording. Will have to check that out.
