Of course - I'd forgotten that name. I was thinking it would be showing Hitachi or Bush. Hopefully this means the Bush and Hitachi boxes share the same id code and same software.
Can anyone confirm whether their Bush boxes updated to v1.20.2? You might be right about the portal - it is entirely web based, so the content can change at anytime. There are 10 apps available on mine. Do you still have the Red Bull app? I remember trying that before, but it has gone now. |

Ok, so only the Hitachi boxes have the update at the moment - Bush boxes will get it soon.

hi futaura, my hitachi has developed another problem when flicking through channels i will stop on a channel and it just shows a black screen, first thought is the channel is down, but i try another channel and they are all showing a black screen, no sound, then if i try to go into my library and try to play a programme it wont play it just goes back to the blank tv channel then i am restricted to just two channels to change too
also if i happen to be recording a programme at that moment in time if i press library button again, it will ask do you want to stop recording this channel,as if i have pressed the stop button this is my fifth replacement box thinking that it was just bad luck to get a run of faulty boxes but now wondering if this can be fixed by an update and if its be noted, also had issues with the other boxes with the tv guide flickering and jumping making the channel behind visible whilst scrolling through channels, and the now and next interface not fully loading just showing half of the banner, its not happened with this new box yet but i am expecting it. |

Which software version do you currently have - 1.21.3? If so, it may be worth reverting to 1.20.2. I would tend to think the issues that you mention are software bugs.

well i had these problems with 1.20.2 and was hoping this would fix the issues, also something i didn't mention is that when watching a recording back the video will freeze for about 20 seconds then continue, this can happen a lot of times or just once, what box do you have the bush one?

My box is running the Bush software. Regarding the freezing, did it happen with 1.20.2 too? I have not seen it in 1.20.2, but certainly have in 1.21.3 - it is the reason why I was surprised that 1.21.3 was publicly released. I was told it was due to having many expired series timers in the timers list. It was a regular occurrence for me in 1.21.3, but I downgraded to 1.20.2 in anticipation of testing the 1.21.3 OAD procedure on the Bush, but this has yet to materialise
. Keeping the expired timers to a maximum of 4-5 did seem to help.

sorry for the late reply futaura, yes the freezing does happen in 1.20.2 i am now running 1.20.2 as i noticed the freezing happens alot less in 1.20.2 then 1.21.3, i have noticed another problem over the Christmas period in that i regularly getting a message when wanting to record a programme
Unable to record ( name of programme) an error occurred deleting timers is the only way i have found it to record but i shouldn't have to do that should i? I'm using 1.21.3 again now, and have not any freezes apart from last night where it froze for at least 30 seconds during playback - only 3 expired timers in the list too. |

I have the Bush D500dtrn, T7655 chassis running this software version v1.20.2 since December, its got a timer confict nag message when there's only one timer set, crashes reboots, only solution is to delete the timers and reprogramme them again, its doing it every other day, absolute bag of shite.

What you describe is not normal behaviour, and is most likely caused by a corrupt timer, often caused by broadcast changes, so it is important to perform an automatic channel scan every so often. If the problem persists, would you mind saying what programme the timer is set for and how you set the timer - e.g. via the EPG (series or not) or manually via the timer list (perhaps repeating daily or weekly)? |
