Alicia originally took the decision of whom to be friends with at face value (we saw her question it tonight). Logically there is nothing wrong with that.

If I were her I'd probably be friends with neither of them, but I don't blame Alicia being 'team Perez' even if he is using her... I imagine in that house you'd rather hang around the people who won't call you thick and criticise your parenting skills

They are all using each other - they wouldn't choose to be in each other's company, any of them, if they weren't stuck in the BB house together. Rather than sit alone in a corner they spend time with whoever amuses them, agrees with them, validates them.

Even if Perez feels no friendship whatsoever towards Alicia, he'd probably not sit around insulting her either, and neither would Nadia, who is usually with him ... perhaps it's Nadia whose company Alicia was seeking.

Likewise, Alicia's using them for company rather than being alone or excluded from the other main group. She is a bit friendless, after all.

Perez hangs around with Nadia cause she mothers him, makes him feel he's done nothing wrong, gives him affirmation. She hangs around with him because she feels the need to mother him, keep an eye on him, provide him with guidance (which he generally ignores, and she then ignores the fact that he ignores it ).

And so on.

My own opinions and observations, obviously - not facts (although they may well be!)

Oh please. If someone kept calling you thick, slow, one brain cell, dilbert......you would just take it? Ridiculous to think that's not nasty.
