The title of this thread is somewhat misleading. She didn't defend the use of such a word. Michelle had already dealt with it and pointed out to Alex is wasn't acceptable to use that word. Katie had other axes to grind with Perez

Perez won't care, he became 'famous' in the US through his blog which has featured some pretty vile things. When Britney Spears had her breakdown he went after her big time and ended up receiving a lot of abuse/threats. Even negative attention is positive to him because attention is what he craves, he needs it like a normal person needs air. It doesn't matter if he's hated, as long as he has some sort of platform he will continue.

He may well have been goaded but he did not have to use that word, similarly if Alex goaded Perez I would not condone Perez calling Alex the N word. He could have said a lot of different things or better yet, walk away and into the diary room to avoid him and calm down. You may not find it offensive but it is used as an offensive term, believe me it can be very hurtful at times. I don't think Perez would've been hurt, he probably loved it because he won in making Alex snap. I can't stand the guy but I wish Alex had just walked away to calm down instead of rising to him, giving Perez exactly what he wants.

To be honest, I think it's probably a term Alexander uses fairly regularly with his mates.
