Good analogy. Personally I cannot abide either of them and think they are as bad as each other, but Perez has played it so wrong in my eyes and is coming across as quite strange at times. Also far from Hopkins being clever and playing the game with public acceptance, I do agree with the OP that it is Perez who is helping her popularity if you can call it that

This. Her phoney attemtps at ingratiating herself into a solid 'clique' scenario (very easy to do takes nothing but fake compliments and a blatant setting up of an 'us' vs 'you' system) is transparent to most people watching.
The behaviour from her last night was the culmination of that. I'll be honest, did not expect it so soon, but Perez pushed her and I'm so glad he did as we could see the extent of her nature....with more to come, she resides at the bottom and she'll happily go lower.
