Why does a show aired at 11pm need a warning?

It's bizarre although it's probably because the 'professionally offended' will stay up until late just so they can complain about something.

To sensationalise it.

part of me thinks they are doing it on purpose to make the show seem more dramatic. really, none of the discussions on bots are offensive, and everyone is probably told beforehand what they can and can't say.

Perfectly sensible. Covering themselves against the Ofcom addicts.

Yes And then they can come here to express their personal distress over a modern day Narcissus simulating sex with his reflection in a window while Harpies indoors screech rubbish at each other. CBB highlights, CBOTTS, DS. It's like a delicious three-course meal where they gorge on the upset of what they CHOSE to watch on telly.

It seems to be a Viacom thing. They do these types of warnings on MTV a lot. I think they also do it before South Park on Comedy Central. But it does come across as sensationalist on BB

both to sensationalise but also so that all the sad clowns who complain to ofcom can be told to shove off

I think you're absolutely correct.
If people complain about the language C5 has an extra line of defence, beyond simply, "It was after the watershed".
Smart move.
