Jesus... IM in my sixties and have been shocked by quite a few things said and did on this show.... but at least I could choose and read the warnings beforehand so I cant be upset...but for a child as young what were you thinking...

Haven't read this whole thread yet but I assume someone's pointed out this isn't a show for kids?

Not really sure what the issue is with adult tv shows catering to... (wait for it)... adults.

Unbelievable.”

I agree. It would seem that she has chosen to blame the other woman rather than her man from straying when she was pregnant. She has a bad track record with men and seems to lack a basic understanding of what a real relationship should be. Mutual respect, understanding, keeping things private, loyalty - all of these things are outside of her remit. The current man will probably not last much much longer as she has no idea of how to act in a committed loving relationship.

Indeed.

The closest she's come (IMO) so far, was her marriage to PA

But she treated him like shit though and nobody's going to put up with that forever.

I think deep-down inside, she knows that she blew it and that's why she can't honestly and truthfully move on with her life.

These marriages that have happened in the interim smack to me of her saying 'look at me - I've moved on'

There's something really inauthentic about it all.

I think you are right. She blew it with Pete and has picked some duds since.
It does seem to be a case of her trying to pretend that she is happy and that has moved on. She would have done better not to rush into countless silly relationships for the sake of it but again its all about how she wants to public to perceive her as a desirable woman when in fact she is anything but.

The other thing is, she's used to getting everything she wants, isn't she?

Imagine how it rankles knowing she can't have PA?

The damage she did was too severe for him ever to consider a reconciliation so he remains 'the one that got away' for her.

Unfortunately her whole image is built on the fact that she is supposed to be desirable to men although I haven't met one yet who would want to be involved with a woman who has countless boob jobs. The toll on her body must be getting severe now and she is looking older than her years.

I guess that she has probably been more astute with her money than Kerry Katona but she still has to be in a relationship to prove her worth rather than being with someone for the right reasons. It's all rather sad really.

Its pathetic.

I'm off”

the point people are making is that it has never been a show 'suitable' for children.
nothing has changed since the very first series.
there have always been tits, swearing and sexual goings on.

your OP makes no sense !

I think some folk are being a little harsh to the OP. I watched Robocop, The Thing, Alien, The Shining, Predator, in fact most violent films during the 80's and pre 80's. Always watched these films with my dad actually. Funny thing is if there was an obligatory sex scene (in the 80's this was common) I was told to leave the room until it was over. My dad had no problems with OTT violence and swearing but anything remotely sexual I was barred from watching.

Bad parenting? Well I think not. I have very fond memories of watching these films with my dad. Thing is this sort of practice was pretty common...I had mates in primary school that also watched these films with adult supervision. It was always a point of discussion during and after school. To this day the 80's films are still some of my favourite films. They don't make films like this anymore which is a shame imo.

My point is who am I to judge? The OP can allow his children to watch anything they want to watch. As long as it is supervised and in a controlled environment I don't see the problem.

I think the show is actually a lot tamer these days than it was when it first began. There was full nudity and all in BB1, right?

BB and CBB are definitely NOT suitable for children under 11 years of age. And they never have been.

First ever BB involved naked painting. It's NEVER been a kids show and if I had kids I would never let them watch it before they were 16. OP you are a tad naive.

I've been watching since I was 9 and I'd say I'm probably the most squeaky-clean 17 year old in the country, haha
Whether or not it's alright for kids to watch it probably depends on a lot of different factors, though. But personally, I'd rather let my kids (not that I have any...) watch this show than play shooter video games, for example

Seriously you guys are complaining at home for letting his 11 year olds watch BB, but have you seen/heard most of the music videos around these days.. Most of them are just 3mins long and are worse than a episode of BB and shown way before 9pm. Rihanna S&M is a example for this, she is popular with teens and younger children and they have probably sang her songs, Lady GaGa, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Grande, Rita Ora. Seriously everyone needs to calm now about they wouldn't let there kids watch BB. No I personally wouldn't but how you lot are going on about it is just silly.

This dude named Michael used to ride motorcycles, dick bigger than a tower, I ain't talking about Eiffel's. - NICKI MINAJ

Sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But chains and whips excite me - RIHANNA

'Cause when the sun sets baby On the avenue I get that drunk sex feeling Yeah, when I'm with you So put your arms around me, baby - RITA ORA

Your kids would of sung at least one of those songs.

I agree that BB has always been a show for adults. But for most series, at least, the highlights have been reshown in the morning, or the middle of the day, edited, but not all that much shorter than the night-time version. BBLB was shown in the early evening and was, for at least some series, also part of T4 (which was aimed at teens). So when BB was on C4, it looked like the channel expected a significant number of teens to at least be following what happened.

I don't remember precisely what warnings there were in years gone by, but I don't think they were as strong as the ones for this CBB.

I don't think the night-time shows have always had lots of nudity or sexual activity.

Yes, there was nudity, I think full, in BB1, but BB1 was unusual in that respect; nudity was fairly rare in later years.

BB3-BB6 especially, I mean did you watch BB6 with Kinga shoving a bottle up her minge, constant talk of sex, showing everyone shower naked daily & everyone stripping, Makosi in hot tub & Maxwell/Saska. The language was terrible also... Then theres BB3 & BB5.. Also CBB13 less tame, It's never been PG ever.”

They didn't show everyone shower naked in bb6, at least not in a way that let us see everything. Kinga and the bottle, and Makosi in the hot tub were each one night out of a series 11 weeks long. I'm not sure what you have in mind re Maxwell & Saskia.

11 year olds? Are you serious? Perhaps there needs to bit of parental control on the iPods of those kids!

I'm turning 22 this week and I've been watching big brother since the first series. Never did me any harm.

You are forgetting they used to have segments explicitly for children on the Big Brother's Little Brother. During one series they regularly invited young children on the programme to do their impressions of housemates.

The concept of the show is to treat the viewers as children in a playground, winding them up with predictable housemates many of whom have been on the reality circuit for years and know what the producers expect of them.

As for the warnings at the top of the show, they come across as a joke by our American cousins having a pop at British culture. They are saying hey 'kids' we are going to show some adult material and BB viewers fall for it.
