Everything has its day and its looks to me, like Bigbrother is coming to an end, two booted, one leaving, this years is terrible. They should have gone back to basic's, channel 4 started it, instead of the ordinary man or women off the streets, they get people from agency's, we all know when they put the advert up to audition to be on the next bigbrother, it won't be your average person. Celebrity bigbrother, used to be people we actually knew really well, now you know about three of them. Even last year, they used to have to do trials for food, not really seen any of that this year, i don't mind Katie Price, but how can she do a trail when she has that problem with her chest, she can't even lift her one arm up. Its a shame what started off as a simple social experiment, should have been left as that and not all the interfering they do

Yes I agree the last 3 shows bb15 plus cbb 2014 and this cbb have been built around conflict but there's only so much conflict even celebs will stand.

They have included 2 things shown in bbaus 2013 , special programme for noms and the freeze unfreeze element.

Bb needs to add fun to the mix.

Don't hold out much hope for bb uk in the summer.

I would say that's true of BB 1 & 2, after that people saw the potential for the celebrity culture, so after BB2 the likes of Jade etc came in.

So for me, it's been a freak show since series 3.

However, with BB4 they tried to go back to basic people and it failed miserably.

There haven't been many tasks this year - I can only remember 1. They seem to prefer the arguments.

It's been absolutely superb tv.

I'd rather watch paint dry than watch a house full of C-list celebrities having fun and getting on.

I agree OP. The C5 era isn't the same show any more. All they care about is ratings, controversy, headlines and conflict. It's rapidly becoming a Victorian freak show.

I miss the days where it was about natural human interaction, great tasks and good fun

Literally feels like a Nuclear power station being overloaded for that extra amount of power. They are so obsessed with the Ratings this endless Bitching and nastiness is seen as "good". it really is going to end very badly

I'm enjoying this CBB, perhaps for the wrong reasons sometimes, but it is certainly compulsive viewing!

Bringing in Katie Price was a huge, boring, droning, monotone, me me me mistake.

Well I disagree with your comment about knowing the past celebrities better, for a start!

Did you know Faria Alam or that Katia woman well (had to be reminded of her name!)? Literally put in because they'd slept with someone famous. I'm not saying it's better now, because it isn't, but they've always put no marks in there (and, IMO, Channel 5 have actually secured some of the more impressive Hollywood signings overall such as Michael Madsen, Gary Busey and Tara Reid).

I know what you're getting at but since this is probably the most talked about series in years, the show really isn't going anywhere. At least not the celeb version.

With CBB and BB it has become about putting a number of obvious people in there who are not going to get along. Jim and Linda was a case in point.

There appears to be a masterplan by CH5 to turn around public opinion by the editing, they so obviously do have their favourites to win.

Do they make bets on the winner and then send them in and immediately support a change in behaviour - for example Katie's task to be nice?

Even if celebs look at it and think maybe its best to leave well alone the money will talk.

Whilst this CBB has been largely hailed here as being one of the best ones...it does concern me that each year BB has to up the anti... How can they get increasingly nasty? Surely there comes a point of diminished or no return and maybe that time is now.

Yes this CBB is full of dramatic conflict but it is unrelenting. Unless this is balanced by shared FUN times (remember that??) then it gets too entrenched in negativity and becomes less amusing as the tension takes its toll.

The format needs a radical rethink but maybe all possibilities have been exhausted. How could BB go forward successfully I wonder...

I'm afraid to say that the viewers are getting the type of BB they want. Given Helen Wood won the last BB and Katie Hopkins is currently the most popular on here Channel 5 is only reflecting the change in viewing preferences. The likes of Helen and Katie would have no chance years ago but it now seems nasty is seen as a virtue and what gets classed as entertaining by the viewers.

Absolutely. I'm sure people like Kate Lawler, Craig Phillips, Brian Dowling etc would now be considered absolute bores by todays BB audience

The whole social experiment thing ended long ago, I'd say when Back to Basics BB4 flopped and the producers went to deliberate casting of characters likely to cause friction (trying to recreate the huge success of BB3), egged on by Big Brother with 'twists' that broke all the cardinal principles of no contact with the outside world, no discussion of noms, they had contestants being given privileged knowledge with fake evictions, evictees returned to the house... And so on.

They openly now state it is a reality game show, and as such I don't think contestants should be held against for attention seeking and blatant game playing. To think what 'Nasty Nick' got expelled for...! Nowadays he wouldn't even get a warning.

Half the world at war and people still get high on conflict. Until it comes to their door. Ok, a bit extreme on my part but don't people ever get to the point where they've had enough of nastiness, even when it's dressed up as 'entertainment'? Are we so thick that we cannot be entertained by something more positive or constructive? At least BB used to invest in some good tasks. The format is so lazy now that it's less about the tasks and much more about people tearing strips off each other.

S'funny but my heart sank in the opening seconds of 1st night when Emma Willis screamed her introduction "WELCOME TO CBB!!!!" like a banshee and at a level even Davina McCall would consider a bit OTT. Set the tone for a rather desperate, contrived and unnatural series that I've virtually given up on.

I agree with you. It's got past the stage of being entertaining bickering and is just nasty for nasty sake

In your view. Maybe, as I said, it's entertaining for people who like to watch people ripping into each other. Some of us don't.
