I didn't watch any of the last civilian BB after two episodes because of the overload of sensationalist "wannabe" effect - I'd prefer a clear gap between standard BB and celebrity BB (the latter is pantomime deliberately featuring prancing Zelebs rather than the Helens and Sallies of this world who want to be one).
It's quite possible that I won't watch any more civilian BB, unless they introduce a larger proportion of well-rounded, interesting individuals and fewer "models".
I'm finding this CBB very entertaining. It may (morally small 'm') be for the wrong reasons, but it's superb trash telly.

I do tend to agree with you here.

For years now, when we hear how viewers have voted out HM's, I've been thinking that I really have nothing in common with a majority of the viewers that vote any more

At times I've felt dismayed at what viewers seem to find acceptable in someone, so much that they vote them a winner or keep them in the house yet another week

Celebrity bigbrother, used to be people we actually knew really well, now you know about three of them. Even last year, they used to have to do trials for food, not really seen any of that this year, i don't mind Katie Price, but how can she do a trail when she has that problem with her chest, she can't even lift her one arm up. Its a shame what started off as a simple social experiment, should have been left as that and not all the interfering they do”

I never enjoyed most of the cbb but since 5 have taken bb it has been far better, of course this is my own opinion...I do think its time for people to either stop watching bb or stop complaining, No one is forced to watch the show. This isn't meant to be offensive but this forum used to be fun to read, Again this is just my own opinion!

Best series ever. Conflict = funny & entertaining. Peace and harmony = boring.

I prefer conflict over show-mances (faux romances)

I don't think it's superb tv by a long way. I'm only watching it out of habit. I've always found the Celebrity version even more interesting than the civilian one. However, I'm not really enjoying the Perez show. It's getting to be like groundhog day. Perez provokes the HMs with his attention seeking antics, when they react the way he wants them to, Perez plays the victim and cries - repeat ad nauseum

I agree about civilian BB, it's had it's day. I still enjoy CBB though, even tho this current series has been way too confrontational. Keep CBB, make it longer and drop the civilian one.

It may no longer be an intentional social experiment but it still throws up fascinating social scenarios for us viewers to chew on, be they bullying/racism/cliques etc. I still get amused by how self important some celebrities think they are and how differently they view the world, despite being nutjobs, addicts, idiots or untalented (often a combination of all these). Plenty of life left in the format if you're prepared to accept the tasks and eviction process are as stale as month old bread.
