No it isn't. Perez used his sexuality to bait Alexander. Blowing kisses? Waggling his tongue?

I'd love to see some of the oh so righteous folks on here subjected to lie detector tests, while being questioned on their own conduct throughout their squeaky clean lives.

Some of the preaching makes me want to puke, seriously.

Would following someone round the forum, replying ad nauseam to their posts and threatening to bang saucepans above their heads be deemed against T&Cs? Would the perpetrator get an official warning, I wonder...

I would take a bet that the majority of people on here, at one time or another have used language that was completely inappropriate.

I agree with you, this many people that are whiter than white - never called a name out in a playground, a pub, a club.....nah!

I have to respectfully disagree with you. That's the insidious issue with the privileged people's perception of racism, homophobia, sexism and xenophobia. People like to think that racism and other forms of hate only exists in big grand incidents or in repeated attacks and they tend to negate and annoyingly trivialise the racist or hateful micro aggressions.

Your view point tends to protect people with racist, homophobic and xenophobic undertones in their mentality and character as they unlikely to commit the more serious hateful attacks that people like you would judge them on.

Free speech. Anyone would think the word was 'Voldemort' Both of the said words have changed meanings a lot. To be honest, yes? If it is a good friend that jokes about it, then yes absolutely. Like Ken and Frank Bruno. That was a joke, between them, that BB took the wrong way. In no circumstance should these words be used as slurs, but it really depends on the context that it is featured. People are too sensitive. One word, does not make someone a homophobe or a racist. Same as having one argument with someone vulnerable looking someone labels you as a bully. It's all about the context.

Come again? A foolish comment in the heat of the moment does not make for a homophobic.

Someone threatening violence, however subtle, is a valid reason to feel afraid for your safety. Alexander did just that to Perez.

I take your point and in some respects agree with it. I was appalled when the US SCOTUS effectively declared racism was over. I'm disgusted that women's wages are still not on par with men's. I have actively supported LGBT rights and marriage equality. However my resume is meaningless. I've seen soft or small incidents of racism in my experience, professionally and personally. My point is context is always important and knee jerk reactions can cause more damage. There is a wonderful documentary called "For The Bible Tells Me So", it's a series of touching real life stories about the challenges of families coming to terms with changing their views.
Finally I get annoyed when un-warranted labels are applied to some players on this show not out a sense firmly held beliefs but instead as part of the agenda to demonize one to elevate another and create a victim status for them. I don't the majority do that but it is a particularly seedy and nefarious tactic.
