You should not recommend that people read up on the facts. This will lead to the inevitable conclusion that Israel is entirely to blame for the atrocities. For example they will find that Hamas did not torture and burn hundreds of women and children with illegal weapons, those crimes were committed by the rogue state of Israel; and that the excuse for these murderous acts was near-useless rockets which would have to hit someone directly on the head in order to do serious damge.

I sought nothing out, she said what she said and it's out in the public domain. I find her disgusting remarks despicable, it's my opinion which I am allowed voice on here as long as I do not contravene the T&C.
Ms. Hopkins makes a lucrative living out of cheap slurs so save your sanctimonious insults for her or any of the other house mates and refrain from insulting me. (which btw is against the rules on DS)

Regardless of who is right and who is wrong in the conflict the fact is many INNOCENT people were killed in a horrific manner and she wanted the bombing campaign to restart? How about asking for peace instead and a cease fire!?

You can have any political opinion you want but when you call a race of people filthy rodents it is more than saying something stupid. It's deliberately provocative but - hey - we shouldn't be surprised, it's her livelihood making deliberately provocative remarks. Disgusting though.

People can have views on the rights and wrongs of the Israeli/ Palestinian conflict as both sides can point to legitimate grievances. But surely you can see the difference between that and referring to a people as 'rodents' It was a disgusting comment to make.

Unfair. Scarlet did not say Katie's views mean more than the people you quote. She made the very valid point that whilst Katie is shouting about how other people's comments and actions are disgusting, she herself is responsible for making some pretty disgusting comments herself. I can't believe that anyone could see the devastation that Israel rained down on Gaza without feeling some compassion for the innocents. To refer to them as 'filthy rodents' and wish more bombs upon them says everything about Katie, none of us need to make cheap slurs.
