I believe she smashed it because Perez was caressing its ears to simulate foreplay when taunting Alex, as it would be one less thing for him to goad Alex with. That coupled with blowing kisses and other overt gestures would be completely ok in your world, not inflammatory or taunting to an older straight guy who had already been deliberately deprived of sleep by Perez!

Katie's field shagging was brought up as part of a task. Most of the HM's giggled while Katie was grandstanding about the field shagging incident. A pretty nasty display from all.
Nadia's affair has not been brought up and if it was I doubt she'd think it was as amusing as Katie thinks hers was.
