Also rather strange that it took most of yesterday before BB officially released the news despite it being reported elsewhere including Alexander being spotted breakfasting in an Elstree hotel apparently..

according to the Sun, real reason why Alex left the house because he was afraid he would end up punching Perez.

They want Perez to stay, Perez goes to DR sits in the corner harps on about safety and leaving (wouldnt suprise if he also asks for his lawyer) then Bobs yer uncle Fanny's your aunt Alex is gone with full paypacket and no more Perez to deal with
Also u would see the person wanting to /threatening to leave , at least whisper it to another housemate , and them say no pls dont go dont do any thing hasty dont let him beat you or words to that effect , but there was none of that - we dont even know was he called to diary room by BB before he left or did he go up there of his own free will . all Marcus said was Alex comes to the diary room ! and next shot the housemates are read out a contrived statement
Hmmm, so it seems likely it was an 'Alexander or Perez have to go situation' - BB couldn't risk any more controversy with an eventual likely explosion, and Perez had already expressed fears for his safety and demanded his lawyer. Might have got very very messy for BB.
Despite Perez being the provocateur, unfortunately Alexander had stepped over the line more than once (language and aggression).
So he cut a deal, was able to leave with his money, BB make a temporary sigh of relief (until the next time!) and their investment in Perez is intact (for now) - ?

My take is they did it to save face. I think they came to an agreement re pay and as he has a tour coming up didn't want to make it look bad for him if he kicked off. Also Perez could have threatened them with lawyers.
I think Alex wasn't very well too which also wouldn't look good for selling tickets. I must admit he didn't look in good shape when he came in.
