What do we think of the remaining suspects?

Peter first and Abi second. These are based on hunches rather than any particular evidence.

On the Eastenders website it states the following

Who killed Lucy Beale?: Remaining Suspects

Alibis and possible motives for those who appear to still be in the frame for the death of Lucy Beale. One of these 14 people appeared to receive Emma Summerhayes' dying text.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/arti...ining-suspects

As EE are still reluctant to confirm that one of the final suspects definitely killed Lucy then I think it is quite likely the actual killer isn't in the list, which is a shame because I have always thought it was Denise. I think within the list is a person who knows who killed Lucy and helped cover it up.

For me one character sticks out as having no real reason to be on the show long term.. seemed to appear out of no where.. could be easily dispensable if they had to leave and might introduce a really good story line if his family found out the truth and had to decide if they want to cover it up or not. And so I'm going with Lee. But could we handle another Carter story line?

Second pick just because Max has been acting weird for a while, Tanya is around for the reveal week and she's been acting a bit mental in general.. Abi. Might also give Lauren her temporary exit to allow Jac to have her baby. She could react badly to the news and go live with Tanya whilst Max covers up for Abi.

One of those two.

There is more than one person involved. I'm sure of it.

I voted Whitney although lately Jane has been at the back of my mind but I still feel it'll be Whitney and Lee is covering it up for her.

I always said Ian, but in truth I think that would only be the case if Adam had expressed a desire to quit, which seems unlikely. So, I'm thinking Cindy, probably helped by Jane.

I hope Whitney but there's sonething really off about Jane and I think with the big public wedding that it seems set up for her to be unveiled dramatically after marrying Ian.

I'll feel a bit disappointed if it's Abi - almost like it's anti-climatic since they've turned her into such a unlikeable character recently as though they're setting it up for her to leave.

Still think its Nick aided by Les and/or Pam. Cant possibly see why they are on the suspect list otherwise.

Think you've hit the nail on the head here. I don't think the killer can be one of the suspects as they've all been hinted at too strongly at some point. Only a bit annoying in that it means we probably haven't seen the killer in relation to the case at all so it's difficult to play detective (which is surely the point of a whodunit so I may be wrong).

My current theory is that Denise believes Jane did it (funny look when Jane was cleaning car, generally acting strange recently presumably due to Patrick). Could make for a great live showdown as Denise stops the wedding because she can't let Ian marry who she thinks is his daughter's killer...
I think Jane is either covering for someone or thinks she is covering for someone (probably Peter), which would explain some of her actions. Would cause a huge shock in the family but I think she's too obvious to be the actual killer.

In the suspect lists, I think it would have to be one of the Beales. Leaning towards Peter (could be Cindy but I don't think her character would have enough impact). I definitely wouldn't be surprised if the theory that it was Peter addicted to drugs is true, which might be something else he's hiding. This would obviously be huge for the Beales but I wonder if they would go so far as to irreconcilably split up the Beale family altogether, considering Ian's already lost Lucy and as good as lost Steven.

Outside the suspects, I have my eye on Sharon (considered Phil but not sure). She's close to the family and I think it makes sense to have one of the most iconic characters at the heart of the 30th. Not sure they would 'ruin' her in that way though. Motive could be something finance-related that has yet to come out? I don't know.

It's a tricky one because it seems to me that characters are either too obvious/suspects or they are too apparently unconnected with the storyline for us to piece together.

I have a hard time believing that it'll be anyone we've been encouraged to think it might be. I can't imagine it being anything other than a shock. Why build up the storyline for all this time for an "I thought it would be them" ending?

Not for me. The reveal is going to be shocking, not predictable. All that's been happening for months is that we're being thrown of the scent, presented with a series of possible candidates and we're busy working out which one - but it'll be someone else and someone nobody will see coming.

Not sure whether she killed her, but I'm convinced that Jane put Lucy's body in her car boot and drive it up to the common.
