Perez is not making it more interesting to me. He is making it much LESS interesting. That's one reason I'm watching Winterwatch right now, rather than CBB.

To the extent that I am tuning in to watch it, that's DESPITE Perez, not because of him.
If ratings are up, that may mean that some people find it entertaining.
But it does not mean that anyone show says they don't is a liar.
