This heat started off really interesting - the top eight were all very close - but Val and Pearl soon started to pull away, whilst Harriet was sat comfortably in third. Harriet's vote stayed strong throughout, whilst Pearl's was inconsistent, so Harriet took advantage of that and secured herself second place. Rodney and Priya managed to get ahead of Sandy, Dan and Adam by a gap of about 20 points during the middle of the voting, and it looked like the top five was becoming clear... until Priya's vote fell apart, allowing Sandy and Dan to catch her up. Despite Priya's dip in popularity, she got a surge of decent rankings towards the end, allowing her not only to get away from Sandy and Dan, but stealing fourth place from Rodney, too. Adam was never far behind Sandy and Dan, but for every high ranking he got, it was followed by him receiving a bottom ranking the next, making it very difficult for him to be a serious contender. Noah and Archie remained in the bottom spots throughout.
So, that's it for Round 1, folks! We've had our say on the 73 characters on the show, and now we move on! Due to the tie in Round 1, Heat 1 between Andy and Laurel, we already have our top 36 characters - meaning the remaining 37 characters are automatically eliminated with no second chance for the highest percentage character to go through.
