Alexander O’Neal left the Celebrity Big Brother 2015 house to stop himself lashing out at Perez Hilton.



In last night’s show we saw Alexander quit the series after another row with Perez, this time over the blogger apparently breathing on his food.

“Seeing Perez’s face makes me sick to my stomach,” Alexander told Big Brother in the Diary Room.

The Sun newspaper reports today that Alex decided it was best to leave the house to avoid any further trouble.

“Alex is a man with morals and principles,” a source close to the singer told the newspaper. “He is fair and will give everyone he meets a chance, but he just can’t tolerate disrespect in any form.

“Perez was taunting him. He was baiting him and trying to get a reaction so he would be chucked out.”



The source explained to the tabloid: “If someone behaved like that outside the house, especially when Alex was younger, they would have settled it man to man. It was getting to the stage where Alex was going to react.

“He is in his 60s now, he’s a responsible adult and he knows how to behave. He can’t be on telly hitting someone, no matter how much they may deserve it.”

They added: “He doesn’t need the exposure and he can live without the money. On top of that he was missing his wife. He couldn’t stand to be in there any longer and he did the only thing he could, he walked. It was the best thing for everyone.”

Alexander’s exit caused the uproar in the house and saw housemates to turn against Perez with Katie Hopkins ranting: “What a despicable human being.I don’t know how you look at yourself in the mirror.”

It doesn't say he's not getting the money, just that he can live without it, sounds to me part of the deal he struck with BB which is why we weren't shown the diary room footage...

I think it is fair to assume that he did not get paid.

Sorry ,not having it. They would of shown Alex stating that he wished to leave right away. He was removed because that piece of crap demanded it was either him or Alex,and the producers wanted trash.

I thought that if they stayed a certain length of time they were able to negotiate for some of their fee.

ETA - I don't know why people are looking for a conspiracy and claiming it was what Perez demanded. The explanation is pretty much as I thought - the man had extreme anger issues. FGS - even in the statement it talks about how he would have wanted to fight it out if he'd been younger - there is talk of 'hitting' Perez.

It was clear that he was a hairs breadth away from losing it in there.

We weren't shown what happened when he decided to leave, I presume it was by mutual agreement and he will get paid.

Whatever happened, it was so unnecessary. Why BB allowd Perez Hilton to goad, bait and attempt to humiliate Alexander without censure is beyond me.

For ALexanders sanity and dignity I am actually now glad he choose to leave.

I think that it is unfair that he did not get paid, especially if the reason he left was because BB didn't take Perez to task over his goading of Alex.

I love Alex but

So why did he not also hold resentment for Katie and Cami who have both shown an enormous amount of disrespect towards others and even if it means disrespect to him directly I fail to see how he can take the moral ground about respect when in fact he was extremely disrespectful using the F word and when he said Perez was breathing on the food.
Alex your a great singer and I still think you have some great traits but you cannot attack others for being disrespectful if you yourself have also shown disrespect.

I just think BB handled this so disgracefully. Perez Hilton should have been called to the DR and given a warning about his provocative & contentious behaviour. He wasn't, he was allowed free reign to belittle and goad another housemate until they snapped.

I would surmise that Alexander did get his fee or some portion of it. He deseves every penny of it imo.

On the run up to Alex leaving, you could see he was in turmoil e.g. angrily saying that no-one taunts him. Perez could only get away with stuff, e.g. the mock kissing and breathing on Alex's food, because they were televised. You can be sure Perez would be far too cowardly to act as such in the outside world.

It is totally understandable that Alex left when he did.....I mean even I felt like slapping Perez so god knows how testing it must be for someone targeted inside the house.

Perez has not got off lightly on this matter. It will have an impact on his already dubious reputation that such a low life managed to force such a real, famous celeb to leave.

He said that before he left the house. He knew that Perez's goading him was getting to him and making him swear and he didn't like himself for it.

Well done Alex who would not sacrifice his self respect at all costs for the sake of money or celebrity.

I agree with everything you have said, only thing I find sad is that Perez Hilton has people that think what he did was acceptable.

I'm sure Jeremy and Ken got part payment so Alex should .

It definitely was not acceptable but the problem we have on the forum at present is that people who hate Perez seem to think they have to support Katie and vice versa and this ends up with FM's seeming to support behaviour that is unacceptable. The truth is that they have both behaved horribly in only slightly different ways.

Absolutely...........!!! If I was Alex, I'd take a leaf out of Perez's book and sue BB for his fee, (if indeed he doesn't get paid) stating the reason as ~ he feared for his safety after being taunted and goaded by Perez and BB failed to protect him from this bullying behaviour!

Yes I agree with you. It's quite possible to dislike both for different reasons. Perez has made me laugh plenty of times, but there's little doubt that he's drove people to distraction in there. He's also shown that he can be very nasty....what he said to Ken for example.

Whereas I don't think I've as much as raised a smile where KH is concerned. I think she's a borderline bully.

darn it, signed on at 3am just to answer this post, it got me steamed.

ummm we never SAW perez blowing kisses or Goading alexander. All we saw was some coughing ONE morning. later what we DID see was nadia stirring pots on the stove while Perez stood over on teh opposite side of the island ..yes, just standing. NOT bending over, NOT breathing into the food, just standing there.

it wasnt alex's food, perez didnt bend forward contaminating the food NOR does he have bird flu as alex suggested.

however, we did hear from keith that Alex is hacking up phlegm and leaving the soggy bits of scummy tissue all over the house.


So whats worse?? contaminated tissue or someone simply STANDING in the kitchen??

Go to the diary room tell bb you want to leave , leave.

As i said on other Threads ,I think they came to a Mutal agreement Al-a Coolio and Nadia in UBB and BB agreed to pay Alexanda his fee if he left

The Way BB is letting Perez go around and systermatically goad,and bait the H/Ms one by one until they either snap or leave without Censure is Disgraceful

My thoughts entirely. The 'piece of crap' knows all the right words to ensure that BB are frightened to death of a law suit.

I don't think I've ever detested a housemate as much.

I feel quite sure that a deal would have been struck between him and BB. He'd have walked away with at least some of his earnings so that BB could continue to keep Perez in there. Win win.

Why didn't they show us what he said in the Diary Room though and what they said back to him?!

I smell a rat in why they didn't show us what happened in the diary room and I suspect they kicked him out but might have come to a deal that he can keep his money by making out that he done the messege to the housemmates and to the press.
