Didn't work for BlackBerry, and I doubt it'd work for Microsoft.
People that want Android apps will just buy Android devices that have access to the largest Android app store, Google Play. If Microsoft is smart, they could do a deal with Amazon to put the Amazon App Store on Windows Phone devices, but if they are planning on just lumping in Android apps onto their own Windows Store, it won't work out. |

Hope it doesn't happen.. Since moving to a Windows phone it's been refreshing. The phone just works better, I don't miss any apps as all the important ones for me are there. My Android phone was just full of useless apps that hardly ever got used and just slowed the phone down..
Certainly not missing all of the google Adware.....So hope they never get their stuff onto the Windows phone. |

Indeed even with Android, ignoring the manufacturer installed stuff (which you can remove either with root or by using a custom ROM) then you don't need to keep anything which you don't want. And if you weren't using them then they wouldn't slow the phone down anyway. |

You do realise that if this does happen, you won't automatically get Android apps on your phone? You'll have to manually install them.

this isn't the way to go, and I doubt they will do this.
