Regardless, she's playing the wide eyed innocent card, and people are sadly falling for it.

I don't care if she's dyslexic or not, it's irrelevant.

It's very relevant in the context of this discussion.

I have no idea what the wide eyed innocent card is supposed to mean. You don't like her so you made that up?

For anyone stupid enough to think that dyslexia has any bearing whatsoever on IQ, here's a list of some famous folk who had the condition:

Albert Einstein
Alexander Graham-Bell
Pierre Curie
Thomas Edison
Leonardo da Vinci

Their brains were wired in a manner that made every single one of them a genius by anyone's standards and who knows - maybe their dyslexia was an integral part of their genius.

I honestly believe that some people that aren't dyslexic are thick.

If you are Alicia fans and are making excuses for her behaviour it is relevant.

She is smart enough to use men to get money, shes a smart business woman...shes tough and mean when it suits her, but can play the lost and innocent bambi on ice when it's needed.

Have you not considered that may be the botox?

How is she playing any card, and how is she playing innocent as you say? What is it exactly that you think she's guilty of?

I confess I don't like her at all, but comments about her being dyslexic and thick ... kinda wrong.

Her little trips to the DR, doing the "im going to stand my ground" line, over and over again...the way she plays the victim is grating.

Still nothing to do with the context of the discussion I'm afraid

The context of this thread that shes been harshly treated because of her dyslexic status (if true)...im saying dyslexic or not, it doesn't excuse how she behaves and exclude her from any criticism.

Yes.........so?

She's most definitely been victimised and she's fought back.

No-one said it does.

She isn't pretending to be thick, they've just decided to assume that she is. In fact she maintains that she isn't stupid.

No she hasn't been victimised, she's been questioned on how she raises her children, some have disagreed with her....that is allowed I assume?

In many ways we dyslexics have to work harder to process everything that comes more easily to 'normal' people.

I'm often told I'm a lateral thinker as I often come up with very different ideas and solutions to problems! It's like I see things in a different way. But it works for me.

It also gives me an insight into how hard it is for children with any learning issue as I've been there and I wasn't supported by the education system (until I reached uni, two years after all my peers). As a result I understand how hard it can be for the children in my class. I hope this makes me a better teacher than I would otherwise have been.

It's weird. People didn't even start calling her stupid or thick until Katie H started using it as a default tag to describe her. After that everyone now calls her it and assumes she is.

Anyway, since when did being stupid or thick make it alright to get picked on? Alicia isn't exactly boasting about it (liker some HMs in previous BBs for example) so why drill her about it all the damn time?

Good for you! My friends son had exactly the same experience. No support at all in school. He went to college and was amazed that at last there was a help tailored to his needs. He's now in Uni and doing very well. He has periods when he zones out involuntarily and loses time. He can't learn to drive, obviously, because of this,

She was dumb enough to spend a million pounds on doing that to her face and body.

I can't help feeling sorry for a woman who looks perpetually startled.

She seems nice enough, but that may just be because of the others in there.
