What are everybody's thoughts on the tracklisting?

I haven't listened to the leaked demos, apart from SEX which I didn't think was great - so I don't know if her other choices are good or bad.

Song titles don't mean much too me, but I'm loving how generous she's being. 19 tracks is fantastic!!! I'm not happy with tracks having features though.

She's worked with Mike Tyson
As a victim of sexual abuse, why is she working with a convicted rapist?

I know! I'm so excited about this release & the fact there are so many songs! There is dissapointment on other forums about other songs not making the final cut - Borrowed Time, Addicted & Beautiful Scars are the ones that are coming up a lot.

There were rumours circulating that she would be releasing a few versions of the album - standard, deluxe & super deluxe. If that rumour is true, wouldn't it be great if she added some of the songs mentioned above to the super deluxe version? The fact that the tracklisting has been released so far ahead of the official release allows plenty of time for feedback.

That's a strange one alright. He's not knows for his musicality, is he? I'm wondering if there is some quote that he said in a movie or interview or something that is just being sampled in the song?

Deluxe version is 19 tracks long
Standard is 14 tracks

and there's a super box version with 25 tracks - Hopefully the great 'nothing lasts forever', 'beautiful scars' , 'addicted' , 'graffiti heart' and 'tragic girl' are on there. But imo they should be on the deluxe instead of SEX, Iconic and Bitch I'm Madonna, Holy Water and Best Night.

So surprised that there is no Ryan Tedder track included.

The 14 track version is utterly pointless. Who on earth would buy that? I will buy the 19 track version and the 25 track box set. I am gutted about the abrupt shortening of great tracks like Heartbreak City, Messiah and Rebel Heart though. Rebel Heart especially. The 4.00 minute version is amazing. It is hard to understand the reasoning for making that particular song much shorter. Surely it would ruin its impact?

Please let that be true about the 25 tracks! Her fans will think they've died & gone to heaven - that's like TWO albums.

Are we sure that there are no Ryan Tedder tracks? Have the writing credits been revealed?

No not certain. Just that he said that his song hadn't been leaked. Maybe he has rewritten a pre-existing song like Iconic, SEX or Hold On.

This is amazing news & a good idea to announce the 19 tracks early then wait for the feedback & decide on the additional six tracks. She must have recorded a LOT of songs for this era.

It's like with Celebration all over again - The deluxe edition was treated and promoted as the main release. I guess the same applies to Rebel Heart

I have a feeling "Revolution" will be on the France only 20 song CD.

I can't get over all of these tracks. She's always been pretty stingy with bonus tracks and deluxe packages. I remember being overjoyed at the thought of MDNA having a special edition with bonus tracks (plural!). That was pretty much unheard of for Madonna!

I may need to lie down...

This might be an odd complaint, but why do pop albums have to be so bloody long nowadays? 19 songs may seem like a great thing but I would rather have 10 well-crafted songs that fit together than a really long album with piles of filler.

I get what you're saying and agree to a degree. I would prefer the standard album tracks to go on CD1, and all the bonus tracks on CD2. I like them to be well and truly separated. Ideally, I think any album which contains more than 12/13 standard tracks are really pushing it.

As for filler though, that depends on the person I guess. What you might class as filler and not worthy of inclusion, I might class as absolutely fantastic.

I do normally find long albums full of filler. But Madonna has never done it before, so i have an open mind for this.

The standard edition of Celebration was a waste of time and money. Who on earth would buy a greatest hits album of only 18 Madonna songs, most of which were already on The Immaculate Collection anyway.

What they should have done is had the 2 disc as the standard and had a 3 disc release as the deluxe being made up of the ballads which all got left off Celebration. Bad Girl has never seen its way onto a greatest hits package while This Used To Be My Playground is one of her biggest hits. Its odd she disowned it.
