So Alex Won't Get Paid If We Go By Perez's Logic?

Perez said if he walks he won't get paid, so surely it's the same for big Al?

Perez and the work logic should never be in the same sentence.

No, each contract is negotiated by each person's agent. Each one will have its own special clauses. Who knows what they are, but agents don't tend to agree on contracts that might result in no money. A celeb would have to be really desperate to sign up to a contract that didn't contain a commitment to pay at least a big proportion of the fee. I'm sure most if not all protect the fee from premature departures.

IMO, BB wanted to get rid of him as he was becoming unstable, but couldn't eject him for anything specific. They worked out an amicable arrangement that wouldn't make legend/one-hit-wonder Alexander O'Neil lose face or his money.

To me, it sounds like a convenient thing. I wanna leave I wanna leave!!! Then leave? Oh I can't...I won't get paid lol

He's not a one hit wonder. You are not in possession of the facts.

Indeed not, the agent is on a percentage.

I think the fact that Alex gave an interview to Emma is evidence that an accommodation has been reached concerning the fee.

Well, in the US, he's a no-hit wonder.

He did okay on R&B charts, but in general, not. I'd never heard of him or his song before, and I come from his "generation."

As for not getting paid, I'd suspect it's true. Otherwise, they'd all walk out in the first few days.

Alex had more than one hit in the eighties in the top 40. His songs were very popular.

Can't argue with the USA comparison. You're completely right about that.

But he certainly had more than one hit on this side of the Atlantic.

Unless Alexander and BB came to a mutual agreement (Warning- conspiracy theory coming up) which may be why any discussion between Alexander and BB wasn't shown on the broadcast HL show in which he left?

He was a pop star who was known world wide. Even I'd heard of him and I hated all that sort of music like his at the time.

Yes, this is what I thought.
