She's one of the meanest people in the house and always allies herself with the strong against the weak. I would also add that many people see drag as akin to blacking up with men (the powerful group) making careers out of belittling and negatively stereotyping women. Maybe it's the cruelty in drag that attracts Michelle to it so much.

I'm guessing she means that outside of the house, she supports those that need supported because they are being judged or even attacked for something they don't control. I.e. Gay people, transgender etc

Perez being a prat is something he absolutely can control.

Anyone who thinks she would ally herself with outcasts and misfits purely because they are outcasts and misfits is extremely deluded and are just looking for a reason to criticize her.

Her exact quote......

"And not just the gays but for any kid who feels like they've never belonged to a group. All the freaks, all the weirdos, all the misfits who never felt like their life was worth it or have questioned if their life was worth it. I am in there for them."

Sounds like someone who likes to head campaigns and/or charities, to make themselves more visible/better known. This can be the kind of venture to better herself above anything else.

It really is the little things that bother me.
I don't care for Perez but the 1st night she called him out for dropping her friendship when he got famous so all her talk about trying to help him out comes across as hypocritical.

She seems a bit desperate to be liked and accepted. Her rant at Perez about how much British TV she watches, the expression of relief on her face when she heard the cheers, was saved and even when she wasn't nominated this week are probably normal reactions but they bug me.

During the recycling challenge you could see her get upset when they dropped the food and all I could think was "to fricking bad, maybe if you weren't still sick you could be doing it"

When Katie P. gave then the overnight tanning I could tell they were delighted to get called into the diary room because it meant they were getting camera time. Again, it isn't a big thing and is far more acceptable than some of Perezs' stunts but it whispers desperation in my ear.

The harshest criticism I have is her pushing Keith to stop being Switzerland and complaining about Alicia being friend with Perez when it is obvious (including this video) that no one else wants to befriend Alicia. What good would it do for her to drop Perez?”

Good post. I'm still not in the 'dislike' camp yet but I'm definitely fluctuating wildly.

The stuff like expecting Perez to conform to acceptable behaviours and not set a bad example frustrates me. If we take the feminist movement as an example, the modern feminist wants women to have choices to be whoever they are and not to pander to sexists. It's no-one's job to 'represent' their group if this means being inauthentic to who they are. It's their job to be themselves, and if being himself is being an annoying muppet, then judge him on being an annoying muppet. NOT on being an annoying GAY muppet.

And trying to 'empower' (aka railroad) Alicia into dropping her friendship with Perez, one of the few people she likes, just days after mocking Alicia herself, was blatant manipulation.

There are other times though when she talks sense and is very grounded. That's when I like her.

Nobody, I repeat nobody who champions the outsiders and misfits of society would ever bond with Hopkins. Do me a favour

And what about her interview with MTV before going in where she said "I don't talk behind peoples' backs, what I have to say I'll say to your face", while she's sitting there mocking Alicia behind her back. Or what about "Bullies annoy me", yet she finds Calum admitting to being embarrassed of being associated with Alicia funny? (No, I'm not calling her a bully before someone hyperventilates at the use of that word, but it's definitely nasty behaviour and if bullying annoys her, I'd assume casual nastiness would too).

These are her words. If she says that she's there for the outcasts and the misfits, it's not unreasonable for people to expect her to be a little more understanding towards someone who is being made the butt of nasty jokes in the house, rather than sit there laughing at them.

Oh, and as I like to speak for myself rather than having people speak for me, I'm most certainly not "looking for a reason to criticize her". She was one of my favourites for the first few days, and I've been very disappointed to find myself getting annoyed with her. I don't want to feel that way, but I do. Nobody's looking for reasons to be annoyed with her, they're already there.

She seemed really chilled out and level headed for the first few days, but I guess the 'real' Michelle is coming to the fore now, and it's not a particularly pleasant sight.

To be fair she has a lot of tolerance for them apparently.

...Because she likes to laugh at their expense.
