I said to the partner last night actually but I am sure his voice has got camper as time has gone on and he reminds me of the "curious gay". Someone that still likes women but is spending a few years with men. Trust me, I have met more than a few. He only "came out" a few years ago. The gay world can be very strange with things like this.
