Is there a way I could do it in the UK even without a German/Austrian card and address, it doesn't come up in the UK store, losing sales if they restrict it to one country only.

And yes I do know you could just rip it to MP3 from Youtube, did that, but also want to get the official download.

I just logged in to .de with my Amazon details, all in German but I haven't been redirected to the UK site. Have ordered stuff from the US site and aside from delivery issues - some won't send stuff abroad, I have bought stuff on there.

Nope, you usually can't buy from other countries digital stores. You can buy physical media from Amazon Germany though. I sometimes buy current CD singles there because they're the last country in the world you can still get them for most tracks.
