Surely you're not telling me any of the other males are more interesting than Alicia? No you're not. Nadia? Michelle? Well maybe but not really. Not Katie bloody Price that's for sure. Um, Cami Li?



Ok so that's why everyone else is less interesting. I'll try to say what makes Alicia interesting in her own right.

With her "dumbness" (unproven to me as such) she does what Ken and Perez did, ie: she highlights and brings out the weaknesses and hypocrisies of the others. That's interesting. It asks questions of them.

The bananas were interesting. Who'd have expected it of her? What was she up to?

She's been victimised from a number of directions at once and not really played the victim. That's interesting.

Perez was not deliberately breathing his gay plague over Alexander's food, as her lone voice pointed out when no-one else was going to.

Her defiance again in the fake tits conversation was interesting. She compared basing her self-worth on her tits with Katie basing hers on writing bilious judgements for cash in the Murdoch trash.

She doesn't toe anyone's line, evidently.

There is certainly more to her than meets the eye.

Her 'formula' is somewhat unique.

She's not overly resorting to the now very dated tactics of being loud, argumentative, drunk, and engaging in a showmance, and exaggerated put- downs of others.

She's kinda sweetly paddin about doin her lil things.

She did not allow herself be duped when Michelle, Katie and co compared her friendship with Perez to an abusive relationship. She seems to have a good awareness of the tactics others employ.

If that's a reference to her appearance, then yes, she is effectively wearing a mask. So mask psychology comes into play between her and the other housemates. Her surprised expression, no microexpressions, having to breathe through her mouth while eating. All interesting.

By the way, the fake laughter attack on Hopkins was really pretty aggressive wasn't it, and successful.

I agree. I am completely intrigued. Much of this series has been like watching toddlers, they are all screaming at each other like banshees most of the time. When anyone says something that makes me go or it tends to be Alicia.

It stopped me in my tracks and made me wonder not for the first time what cognitive process took her from one place to another. She interests me.

I don't particularly like her but she adds more to the house than some of the others. It's just the lack of understanding that someone has to be nominated that annoys me, surely she knew she would be up at some point, it's the desperate moaning that she wants to stay...

That was the other moment that for she was interesting tonight. Her reaction was odd I agree. We all know people have to be nominated, sometime they take it well sometimes very personally. That was the first time I saw anyone take it quite like that. Trouble is I forget now what she said but at the time I again did a double take and thought - how odd? Again I am intrigued by her.

If that was a fake laughter attack ,then it was pretty impressive and ,indeed ,interesting . But she was shown throughout the rest of the show praising KH and saying speaking to her was a guilty pleasure and even that she was secretly in love with her,or something like that,even more interesting ,perhaps,

To be honest, I think this is just her life and she forgets it's a show. It's like she lives in a different reality to everyone else. I do say on the plus side she's probably the most honest one in there. There's nothing hidden, she wants to win as she hopes she'll end up with work at the end of it. She also sees her housemates as friends naively and can't seem to make her mind up about Perez

I should also say I didn't like her before, but reading the posts you have made me see her as more interesting than I thought

"So you want to dominate men" - or however she put it - "while I want to be fcuked by them!" My missus did a big lol at that.

And after that whole fake tits and octagons conversation, with Hopkins pulling disparaging faces and telling the others it was triangles, Alicia goes to the diary room to say without irony how nice it was to have a lovely chat with Katie for a change.

(I've always loved the language but I still learned a lot about it while passing it on to my kid.)

In my experience the two aren't mutually exclusive.

I am not watching at the moment as Perez was giving me headaches and with KP going in it was too much, but have not found Alicia intersting or entertaining in any way whatsoever. On the contrary I find her incredibly dull and boring, but that is just me and my opinion and I don't expect it to be shared by everyone, life is not like that. I am following in the papers and on here to catch up and hoping that Perez goes, he the kind of person that sucks the life out of me leaving me drained if you understand what I mean. Most of us have met that kind unless they are one of them and surely no-one on here is like that

Hope Perez is evicted but I think he is the only really safe one and I will not be voting so can't complain when he stays.

Tried to think of one interesting thing she has done, she hasn't made me laugh, or smile, I haven't thought wow good comment, conversation or anything. At first I pitted her, but then saw that it was clever editing and the real her is coming out. So for me, I haven't seen anything interesting at the moment. She is self absorbed and needs to get into her head it is a game.

What she is resorting to is that age old 'thick' act. She is using the insults ofnothers to her advantage and has xhosen to play them by pretending she only learned her alphabet when teaching it to her daughter. Anyone falling for that is dummber than she is pretending to be.

Good post. That's pretty much how I see it too. Of course she benefits from the fact that there are several far more obnoxious HMs in this series. I certainly find her preferable to those HMs but, for me, that's not enough to make her interesting, entertaining, or even particularly likable

I can't say I find her remotely interesting...I tend to wonder, as Katie H has, how she's managed to get through life without knowing the alphabet and shapes. From things she said prior to CBB it's clear she doesn't value education, but to not know things usually grasped by the most unstudious 5 year old is a bit much to believe.

I know Katie H has had lots of reactions to her reaction, but guess what - I feel the same. Just by showing up at school you pretty much get those basics...

Couple that with her reaction to Katie P not trading her out of nominations and I'm really disliking the woman/child more and more every day.

Guilty Pleasure - ummm from someone who only recently learned her shapes and alphabet this seems deep. I too like her and find her interesting. I don't buy into the silly little girl lost look - quite the opposite. This lady ran her own business, I didn't hear why it went bankrupt but many do, the fact she set one up and ran it does not fit in with the persona she portrays in the house. She talks about being a vegetarian, which always gets you talked about in the house and last night we saw the breasts with an acknowledgement that "she would rather die without them, they are what make her a women" WELL it sounded to me like it was an university question posed ready for debate. Other women will either agree or disagree but they will be talking about it.

I think it shows our education system up terribly but I don't see it as her fault she doesn't know these things. Once a child misses part of their education, alphabet for instance they are pretty much locked out of the rest, that she realises she doesn't know much and is determined to learn and teach her daughter is I think enough to make her more interesting than any of the others in there. She is only one I want to hear more about, even her 18 boob jobs are interesting, why would she feel the need keep going back and subjecting herself to operation after operation.

I also find it strange people who have had multiple boob jobs are judging her too !
