I don't think her being thick is an act. Indeed, Callum cited it as a reason to nominate her, i.e. that she is slow to understand things and constantly needs things explained to her.

Also, let's face it, no-one who tries to model their looks on Barbie can be deemed bright. I think she had to go to rehab for this spastic surgery obsession.

Alicia I find irritating and sneakily aggressive. I prefer KH's aggression which is honest and outright. Alicia resorted to over-long bouts of laughter which were'nt really called for and a fool could see she was doing it to show KH she has friends who make her laugh. She even went right over to Katie and buffooned laughter while appearing to double up with mirth..
I suppose she has a right to 'respond' to KH but it showed a mean side to her.

Shucks, you've exposed me for being dumb, whilst simultaneously and somewhat ironically exposing yourself as dummb(er).

However, she doesn't try to sell said brand. We have seen her repeatedly tell others that she is not 'dumb.'

Some people with dyslexia certainly struggle with the basics of learning the alphabet. So my cynic alarm was not set off.

Wrt shapes, I didn't interpret that as her saying that she didn't understand the mainstream everyday shapes (that was a cheap hyperbolic dig from Hatie). Iirc, Alicia referenced an octagon - which most laypersons tend to confuse with other polygons - specifically the decagon. So again, I didn't perceive it as an act.

That is not to say, that I think she doesn't have a gameplan. As that would make her 'dumb' (which she doesn't purport to be), and me even dumber - which I guess I could be for watching this dumb show....

Um, Cami Li?

Ok so that's why everyone else is less interesting. I'll try to say what makes Alicia interesting in her own right.

With her "dumbness" (unproven to me as such) she does what Ken and Perez did, ie: she highlights and brings out the weaknesses and hypocrisies of the others. That's interesting. It asks questions of them.

The bananas were interesting. Who'd have expected it of her? What was she up to?

She's been victimised from a number of directions at once and not really played the victim. That's interesting.

Perez was not deliberately breathing his gay plague over Alexander's food, as her lone voice pointed out when no-one else was going to.

Her defiance again in the fake tits conversation was interesting. She compared basing her self-worth on her tits with Katie basing hers on writing bilious judgements for cash in the Murdoch trash.

She doesn't toe anyone's line, evidently.”

I would have to agree. She's a contradiction in a lot of ways and she has surprised me more than once. She's spent a lifetime obsessively trying to obtain a sort of typical mainstream physical ideal but she's non-conformist even when she's a minority of one in the house. She obviously feels offended when she's called an idiot by a gang of bitches but she never looks or acts intimidated. She's quite extraordinarily naive on some occasions yet she shows an astute insight occasionally which nobody hears because they're not listening. But she carries on doing her thing regardless. Most people see her as vulnerable but she's obviously got some sort of steely inner self belief because even when nobody else agrees her with her she remains very much true to herself. She is interesting

Well I think the excessive plastic surgery will be an addiction for the same reasons people drink gamble shop etc. I don't think it has anything to do with being smart or not. I sometimes think some women think men like the little girl lost look, Calum does not. I don't know its just what I think I see, she might well be not that intelligent

I think she is quite upset that Calum isnt paying her any attention, she can't grasp why.

Yeah but they were right. That whole argument last week kicked off when Cami told her Perez was using her and he was, he dropped her like a shot for KP. She does not pick up when people are using her or ignores that they dont like her (Callum) and still keeps trying to be accepted. This gives her a victim tattoo that users and abusers spot a mile off.

I've watched and I've listened..........and then read about it again on here but I still don't quite get it. This is a genuine question to those on here that know about or suffer from learning difficulties. Is Alicia saying she can't read (I didn't know my alphabet till a year ago) or is she saying that she can't recite her alphabet parrot fashion? When she mentioned she was unsure of her shapes......did she mean the basic shapes, which I presume is what you'd be playing/teaching a toddler or did she mean more complex mathematical concepts?

I personally don't buy the "dumb" act but I don't know enough about learning difficulties to comment but surely if you are a vegetarian, you don't have to be Mastermind to realise that having something from a pig skin stuffed in your boobs is just as bad as eating a bacon buttie?

You appear to be saying that not realising that having pig skin used to reconstruct your boobs is inconsistent with being a vegetarian, is dumb.

BIB Really, for me that kind of undermines real abusive relationships and it was a low tactic by the others. Alicia saw it for that and shirked it off.
Perhaps she picked up that the women were using her in that situation.
She herself laughed that Perez had dropped her for KP. She, herself is happy to have KP there and would happily drop Perez to have a conversation with her. There is no donning of the 'victim' garb nor should anyone ascribe her a 'victim tattoo' as a means to berate her.

From what I heard she didn't know a hexagon from a decagon which quite honestly many people would struggle with, and some people with dyslexia have huge problems learning the alphabet in order right the way through.

As for her veganism I thought she was vegan for health reasons she has never said she is against killing animals to eat just she doesn't think it's healthy to eat them.

Unless she says it's for animal welfare I can't see she is doing anything wrong.

I also find it strange people who have had multiple boob jobs are judging her too !”

Why didn't she learn the alphabet with her first daughter?

Agreed.

She seems to have long since got used to people's prejudices against her, and has pretty damn sturdy mechanisms in place for dealing with them. She doesn't run off crying, she doesn't screech at them, she just addresses them. If she's had counselling I commend her counsellor.

You might be right he appears such a kind hearted lad. I am a bit surprised he is showing Cami so much attention, he must see something in her I have yet to find. I love the fact she thinks Alicia is "dumb" but has to ask what the meaning of shrill is.

Calum seems to go for loud gobshity women and not little girl lost types... Having said that who remembers how terrified he was of Janice Dickinson on CDWM?

It could be a contrived act like you suspect. Or maybe education wasn't something she engaged with for whatever reasons. She seems to be tuned into her own personal frequency so sometimes things are going on round about her which everyone else is involved in but she looks focused on something in her own head. That's not necessarily a sign of stupidity. Could just be lack of interest in what interests the rest of the group. Alphabet, shapes and "apparently we need ribs" are all so jaw-dropping I do wonder if it's a bimbo put on but then again, she did seem genuinely wide eyed and innocent when she stated it was impossible to manipulate a person into liking you. But she picks up on other things that others miss and manages to articulate it well so.

LOL at bacon baps point well made.

No it shows how some people do not understand things almost stupid really. There are many reasons people are vegan or vegetarian only people who claim it is for animal rights or animal welfare would be worried about using pig skin.

We will never know unless she is given a chance and wants to tell us. The Katie Hopkins show isn't giving many people a chance to tell us about their selves really IMO

She uses the phrase "zoning out". Now without wanting to wrench open that stinking can of worms again, if she was abused as a child she might have learned "zoning out" as a strategy.

She just doesn't set off my dumbdar, which is interesting because I have a pretty low tolerance for dumb.

Have to confess I had the same reaction also - is it possible to get to her age not knowing the alphabet? Would that mean she could not write -surely one needs basic knowledge of the alphabet, or would she learn everything by rote? Is she as childlike as she appears, or not..................
Her reaction to KP was also interesting - shouting "I don't want to go" several times. Looking forward to see what happened after that!

Think about what you are saying there, of course you can read and write without knowing how to say your alphabet all the way through in order. It's only when saying your alphabet when you need to know which letter comes after which.
