I only tune in for the last 20 minutes these days - the part where the auctioneer is appraising the items and the auction itself. I'm not interested in getting to know the contestants and hearing their boring life stories
I will miss Tim though. He was perfect for the show.

They might as well just show the same episode every day.
Tim does his his camp, Stuart Hall impression. Two teams of people pay far too much for cheap tat using BBC money. As predicted, most items sell for less than they paid for them, unless there's a silly bid from somebody who just wants to be on telly. Contestants go home either empty handed or else with about 16 quid. Ad infinitum. BBC producer chuckles to himself at the way he's brought in yet another programme for about 200 quid. |

What's wrong with BBC producers are they so sensitive that if a presenter disagrees with them or argues with them, they have a hissy fit and said, popular, presenter then leaves, then programme goes into "A new direction" . Sound familiar ?

Such a shame. Tim will be missed by regular viewers. Luckily though, the format itself is still strong enough unless they start messing too much with that as well.

I see Christina Trevanion is hosting Bargain Hunt today, I don't know if she's been on all week.

As far as I can make out, he was suspended part way through a weekend of filming the Antiques buying part of Bargain Hunt, that would mean there was still the Auction and the voice overs to do. I wonder if they abandoned the filming they had started and refilmed with a new "guest presenter"

What they tend to forget is that it is WE who pay the license fee. |

I have to watch this whenever I have to give my elderly father his dinner, as it's become part of the routine. What a relief it is not to have to suffer creepy Tim in his women's glasses, but why does every male BBC presenter working before 6pm have to be so camp? Is the BBC tied to a long-term contract with a theatrical agency that specialises in them?

I'm surprised he's married too.
Always thought he batted for the other team. |

I so miss Tim Wonnacot. Maybe he was just a little irritating from time to time but, to me, he IS Bargain Hunt.
