Not forgetting the backing singers - the Cliftones.

Aw. I think that would be quite cute actually, like in Friends when they all became Arquettes for an episode

Because Darren and Lilia/ James and Ola/Matthew and Nicole NEVER made any mention of them being/in the last instance once being a couple!

It doesn't really matter. She is already known as Karen Fromgrimsby anyway.

As long as we can avoid having Clifton Richard on the show, I'm happy with all the other suggestions!

No idea what SYTYCD is but are you implying Karen's NOT a pure woman worthy of our Kevin's equally pure Eternal Partnership?? [It does explain how a Latina has a German surname, however.....] Shocked!!

She's from Venezuela, which has a pretty strong German heritage, anyway, so it shouldn't be very surprising that someone from there has a German sounding name. Although, Hauer is her married name, as has been said.

Germany colonised parts of Venezuela back n the days when all the big European countries were carving up the world. Which is why a lot of Nazis went to live there after the war, to escape being tried for their war crimes.

Karen lived in New York from age 8 think her maiden name is cardenas so not very german - matthew her ex was from New Jersey but has mexican roots

Kev's ex Claire Craze uses Claire Clifton - another clifton to add to your list

Am I the only one who hates Karen's hairstyle where she has it sticking straight up five or six inches from the top of her head? She's already too tall for Kevin, with whom she dances in the pro dances, so she wants that cone-head hairdo to stick up and tower over him? Yuck.

What someone else does doesn't necessarily 'ruin [someone's] life so much', but many people are uncomfortable with the historical connotations of changing to your husband's name on marriage.

Yep, not new at all - I'm assuming you know the historical inplications of it, and can therefore understand why some people don't agree with the tradition?

Steady now. You'll be told this has nothing to do with Strictly and therefore you mustn't discuss such things on here (I think it's interesting though!)
