Unbelievable. I just had a conversation with a work colleague about which categories she had played on QuizUp as I had shown her it on my phone. She said she hadn’t played it much as it was only available on her iPad and not her SGS4. I told her that was nonsense and that the app had been out for ages. It turned out she had been using the phone for about 20 months and had never known about the Play Store. She was using the “Galaxy app” as she put it. She was adamant that her phone didn’t even come with the Play Store. I showed her where it was.

And some of us worry that the rollout of a particular update for our phones has been delayed a few days when the majority probably don’t even know what version of software they are running and certainly don’t care. As long as they can access the facebooks they are happy.

Absolutely! I had a friend who didn't know they could turn off rotation lock on their iPhone. Had been using it locked in portrait for absolutely ages.

I recall a golfer friend lost their dedicated golf unit and I asked why they did not use their Blackberry and an app.

It turned out that they never even knew the backberry had an app store.

Given how poor the blackberry App World is, I'm not sure they were missing much!

Well, there was plenty of tee to hole golf apps there when I had to jump in and look, which is what mattered.

I never asked if it was better than the dedicated unit, a subscription one no doubt.

Hehe the OP is not alone. I know load of people who must have the latest greatest phone like iPhone 6 plus and Note 4 but freely admit to not knowing anything about the features of their gadget. They just had to have it simply because it's new
