Eurythmics without all the histrionics.

Such a good tune.

Great isn't she?

She's Swedish.
Jazz seems to be far more popular on the Continent than it is here.

I find it sad, that there are so many good singers out there, who are unrecognised by most British people, as they never get a chance to hear them.
Some of those really talented I find, have YouTube videos with really few hits.

I'd like to mention the backing musicians on so many, really professional performances. Hard to earn a living as a jazz musician these days. So it "must be love."
Jazz isn't popular with young people as it gets little or no exposure on TV or on major radio stations.
Jools Holland's "Later" does the genre few favours.

The thing I can't stand about jazz is the fact that many people see it as pretentious which I don't see.

BBC Radio Ulster has quite a good jazz show on every Sunday night at 7pm, Jazz Club it's called.

This is true.

Some jazz musicians don't help themselves. YouTube is about the best way for them to get noticed. but a lot of them insist in rabbiting on before they play a note, then it's a long introduction by the pianist, before the vocalists start to sing. Then it can be some unmelodious composition of their own. I've often moved on to something else by then.
