Clip just now on BBOTs with Kav apologising to Keith. Just a little bewildered as why Keith didn't take the opportunity to point out to Kav if he gets like that when drunk then he has a problem??? Bit disappointed at that

To be honest as a fellow Scouser, I am disappointed Keith didn't have more of a go at him.
he did suggest they should see in the morning, whether he is still apologetic or what I dont recall or whether Kav may not remember, where did this all come from, never noticed any conflict between them two before

Yes, he's been sober for 20 something years. I think Keith can see himself in Kav, he knows all the tricks of an alcoholic and can't be fooled. Kavana knows that Keith's onto him so has become angry and defensive about it.
Just my opinion of course. My friends mum used to drink wine out of a cup so nobody could see how much she was drinking. It reminded me of her when Kav did it in tonight's show.

Thanks for the confirmation Linmic. That was the way my wheels were turning too. And if he has been there and has been through a recovery programme he will perhaps feel there is no point pointing out to Kav that he (Kav) has a problem. I thought the first step to recovery was realisation that one had a problem.

I agree with this but often people pointing out that last nights behaviour was not acceptable can help them to realise they do have a problem. They can like it or lump it but it looked to me on the clip that the only person who asked Kav if he had apologised to Keith was Katie P

You could be right.. I didn't see the clip with Katie P but happy to accept your word. However if watching himself on Big Reunion wasn't enough to tell him that he doesn't seem to be coping with drink then I am not sure a comment from the person he just had words with will do the trick.

Mmm am sure you are right but again I think Keith would have been better saying his piece and saying he was upset (he sure looked it) Keith has been to detox/rehab on programmes and they do point out to each other things like this as the denial mechanism is so strong with "problem drinkers" They say it once only then leave it for the message to sink in - if it's going to. Cheggars seems to live and let live but there are things you just can't stay on the fence with and if a persons drunken behaviour upsets you thats one of them surely?

It is not a conversation for the TV cameras and it is just Keith that will see it. Calum has seen the very worst of alcoholism, he must be weary of Kav drinking and turning nasty. He talked about his Dad, doing that.

I thought he fell off the wagon when he did that naked show. Not joking, genuine thought. But aye he's doing so well good for him.
Keith probably knows that Kav will be drunk later that night and anything Keith said would be used in another aggressive rant against him. He probably just wants him to leave him the f alone now.
He is a recovering alcoholic and also in the showbiz industry. Perhaps he didn't think it was an appropriate conversation to have in the house because it likely would be broadcast on national television?
Regardless, it is pointless to nag a drunk when they are loaded.. They aren't thinking clearly and won't listen to you anyway... and Cheggars knows that all too well.

That's rather unfair. I don't think the BB house in front of all the cameras is the place to be pointing out to someone that you think they have a drink problem.
Even if he had said something I don't think it would have been well received. Tackling someone and helping them to accept they have a problem isn't easily done - it takes time and sensitivity.
