The heat started off with three divides - top four, middle four and bottom four. The top four were Nicola, Robert, Alicia and Val (in that order). As you can see, the top three ended up staying the same throughout, although Alicia challenged Robert for second place once or twice. The middle four was made up of Bernice, Chas, Diane and Eric. All four were swapping places with near enough every vote to begin with, all fighting for - what seemed like - the last two spots in the top six. As you can see, though, it wasn't as clear cut as that, because around the halfway mark of the vote, Val's popularity started to waver, and it was around the same time that Bernice's popularity also took a dip, so Bernice got left behind in eighth place, whilst suddenly Val was having to fight hard to remain in the top six. The battle was now between Chas, Diane, Eric and Val for the three remaining places in the top six. Despite having a head start on the other three, Val was the one to eventually lose out. Lawrence, Harriet and Priya were changing positions with each other after every vote right up until the end, but none of them were ever going to challenge the top eight. Laurel remained bottom from start to finish.
