Probably best known for her role as Blair Waldorf on the US show "Gossip Girl", she also put out an album last year called "Heartstrings".

I've been listening to it a lot on Spotify lately and I really like it. I know that she released a single with Robin Thicke in 2009 called "Somebody To Love" and "Good Girls Go Bad", but I believe that those sorts of songs were the influence of her record label and not what she chooses to listen to or play on her guitar.

There are performances with her friend Dana Williams online. There was this acoustic performance of "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac, for example.

Her album is released physically in the UK on the 9th February though it is available on iTunes now. I'm going to wait for the physical release but I'm excited to buy it. I really like the album.

I've only ever heard Somebody To Love and I really liked it. It sounds a bit Britney-like to me.

I kinda like her new stuff.

I do wish we had seen a full album from when she doing the Pop! stuff. "Body Control" is a tune.

I still have "Heartstrings" stuck in my head this morning. It's a lovely song.

I'm really looking forward to the UK album release in February. I was surprised to find that it was only 9 tracks long, though.

I enjoyed the two tracks from the past, but not really her contribution. Not sure I could stomach solo material.

It's a great album, different to what you'd expect, it's not pop, it's more of an adult contemporary sound

I really like it. I get the impression that she listens to a lot of singer-songwriter types. I never really bought into her as a pop star but I definitely believe her a lot more with an acoustic guitar.
