Quote:
“A centuries-old Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey landed in Kingsland last week to help Capt. Kirk in his latest adventure.
But British actor Colin Baker didn’t arrive by TARDIS during production of the latest episode of the webfilm series “Star Trek Continues” at the Farragut Films’ studio.”

Looking forward to it. Current rumour is that he is playing a Klingon called Karr Nesh from the House of Pastee.

The Star Trek Continues group are in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign at the moment to fund more episodes, set construction and so on, in case anyone wants to help them.

Star Trek:Phase II / New Voyages have used both versions. The changeover from TOS to TNG Klingons comes some time between the Five Year Mission and the events of The Motion Picture.

I've not seen much of Star Trek continues, but Phase II / New Voyages is worth a look .

Here's a rather hoarse Colin Baker doing a testimonial for Star Trek Continues.

It doesn't have to be old style. The cause of the change was suggested in an episode of Star Trek Enterprise, wherein an attempt to create genetically augmented Klingons from human Augments (created by Noonian Soong) began to spread round the Klingon Empire.

Kirk was just lucky he only encountered Klingons that had been affected (in his first 5 year mission).

Of course there was no need for sophisticated makeup and prosthetic foreheads which helped keep production costs down then (had they thought of "new" Klingons). So I guess the production crew got "lucky" too.

Just watched it. Thanks for the link!

It was pretty good, once you get over the shock of different actors in the familiar roles. You have to make allowances for the amateur actors at times.

Prelude Axanar is worth checking out. Good visuals and professional actors. Here's hoping the Axanar movie gets made.
