That was a really nice tribute from Mann, their work together on Thief was exceptional, a perfect blend of music and images.

Totally agree. Mann is one of my favourite directors, and Thief is definitely his best movie for me, and possibly TD's best ever movie score (to be fair, they did a lot of dodgy ones in the 80'S), closely followed by Sorcerer.
Unfortunately I hear bad things about Mann's latest, Blackhat...
