Accessing photos and videos on an encrypted Android phone connected via USB to a PC.

If I use Android encryption to encrypt my 16 GB Moto G (no Micro SD card), will I still be able to access photos and videos stored on the device when I connect it to my PC via USB (I occasionally back up photos and videos to my PC)? I appreciate they will be encrypted, but if I put in the pass code on the device, will the PC be able to see and copy the photos and videos?

Many thanks for any help.

Bump, can anybody please help with this?
Or is my question incredibly stupid, or something?
Many thanks.

I have a Nexus 5 with encryption enabled.

If the phone is locked and I connect it to the PC, the device appears in my computer but no folders are viewable. As soon as I unlock the phone, the īnternal storage appears as a folder and everything is available.

So the answer to your question is probably yes.

Once you have turned it on and it has booted the phone is decrypted.
