Accessing photos and videos on an encrypted Android phone connected via USB to a PC.
If I use Android encryption to encrypt my 16 GB Moto G (no Micro SD card), will I still be able to access photos and videos stored on the device when I connect it to my PC via USB (I occasionally back up photos and videos to my PC)? I appreciate they will be encrypted, but if I put in the pass code on the device, will the PC be able to see and copy the photos and videos?
Many thanks for any help. |

Bump, can anybody please help with this?
Or is my question incredibly stupid, or something? Many thanks. |

I have a Nexus 5 with encryption enabled.
If the phone is locked and I connect it to the PC, the device appears in my computer but no folders are viewable. As soon as I unlock the phone, the īnternal storage appears as a folder and everything is available. So the answer to your question is probably yes. |

Once you have turned it on and it has booted the phone is decrypted.
