So he taunts people by pretending not to listen, yawning and staying sat down, just like he was taunting Alex by breathing in the kitchen, blowing kisses and then going to sit in the same room....if people cannot turn a blind eye and choose to be wound up by silliness it is their issue and not his. It was a similar argument with Nadia's view , when she was basically saying that everyone should leave Perez be to be his annoying self, and noone should say anything to him, they should ignore him. She's actually the most patronising towards and about Perez than any of the HMs, treating him like a 5 year old !
