Huge breath of fresh air just cause it's different then all the same crap on the radio.
If Rihanna can get air time with this new song and make it a hit, hats off for putting it out there.
After the success of Adele's 21, I thought the female pop stars were going to strip down the music and try that route. Instead in the four years since, the only song close was Stay (that made an impact on the charts). It makes sense that Rihanna would go here. Thank's to her for the Taylor Swift/Sam Smith break.

Heard it for the first time yesterday as R1 track of the day - really hated it at it first but found myself taking it to it by end of the day

Performing it at the Grammys. I'm looking forward to seeing this live. Not a hard song to sing, so they should do well with it.

I like the song but it's still not jumping out at me as lead single material. The video is quite boring tbh. Paul McCartney looks like he got lost and just stumbled on set. It's all a bit underwhelming so far from RiRi. I was expecting something bigger. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of hers and I still like the song but I'm hoping there's much better to come.

I lobe the song I genuinely do. But like the above poster something just feels amiss and underwhelming. It's ANOTHER lead ballad dressed up as an acoustic country jam. It's different for her yes but not entirely immediate or worth jumping up about it just lacks spark in a way so many of her leads don't. This is more of a whimper than a bang. Second lead needs power to propel her.

She looks so hot in the video....I'm liking her image at least for this era.

Not feeling this song. Parts of it sounds like it had potential but like others said, it sounds under produced. Not that everything needs huge production but this to me doesn't sound "raw" as much as it does unfinished.

However it's an intriguing sound and direction she's going for so I'm looking forward to hearing more of the album.

I agree that it sounds unfinished.

Not sure that I like this.

I like it. The 'unfinishedness' is part of its charm. I far prefer that to music that's finished to perfection.

Thought this was Natalie Maines of The Dixie Chicks fame when I first heard this song, it sounds very like her. Then I realised it was Radio 1 and thought no it can't be they wouldn't play country! Shocked it was Rihanna.

Quite like the song not sure her chavy fan base will.

Well it's certainly holding up well on iTunes although the music video premiering has probably helped there.

After going top 10 on iTunes last week I had a gut feeling it'd do an "Only One" and drop out of the top 40 after a fortnight.

Never underestimate the power of Rihanna.
