Sky may launch MVNO with O2
Looks like Sky may launch their own branded MVNO with O2. There had been a lot of speculation that they would use Vodafone. I don't think streaming video on O2 is a great plan as GPRS is useless for this sort of thing but maybe they are looking ahead to a possible acquisition of O2 by Hutchison owners of Three?

The mail suggests could be a partnership with o2/three and linked to this takeover - so maybe sky are showing like many thought some interest in the company, but not on their own

I suppose the proof will be in the pudding, so to speak, by what sort of talk plans they're going to offer.
If they have the infrastructure in place to carry over their "truly unlimited" ethos in to the mobile phone market at a decent price, they could well become a major player in a short space of time. |
