It is true that some things she says are uncomfortably true, albeit not pc. BUT she goes and ruins it by just saying things just to shock.

I'd have less of a problem with Katie H if she was actually funny/witty but she isn't. Not really. Occasionally she comes out with one that's reasonably well put together but generally it's simply unnecessarily insulting which never really make me smile.

If you're going to be deliberately offensive/controversial then for me, you have to be very clever with words and Katie H may think she is but to my mind she's far more miss than hit. I listen to what she says or has said and usually I find myself thinking, "That's not even amusing." Obviously many, many others disagree. I know humour is subjective but I can't help thinking they're far too easily pleased.

For someone who has stated she likes the power of words I've been very surprised by her limited vocabulary. I expected her to be far more imaginative and creative but maybe my expectations were unrealistic...

There are good reasons why "straight talking" isn't always a great idea and is frequently a bad one in fact. Humans have learned to adapt : a world where everyone kept pointing out their faults to each other would be an extremely confrontational one.

If everyone was like Hopkins in that everything was black & white and we said and did what we wanted without any consideration for others then humanity would simply implode.

Hmmm. I agree with her about plastic surgery -. I think it's terrible the way people are willing to mutilate themselves for the quest for outer perfection. They should work on their inner selves instead.

I also agree with her that all addictions are selfish.

The things I've disagreed with her recently is the Ebola jibes and the "joke" about the Scottish. Not her finest moments.

However, I don't find her in the least bit offensive - maybe it's because I'm not fat, ginger and have never lived on benefits and don't have children named Tiffany of Chardonnay .............or maybe some of us just don't get offended on other people's behalfs so easily.
