Am I the only person watching this show, or is there another thread on it that I just can't find?

My kids like dancing so we watched it all. Very odd bunch of contestants. And the judges all arguing was funny but we couldnt hear them. Then some of the dancers made mistakes, and immediately it was mentioned, but of course they then get the sympathy vote from viewers.

Quite gutted to see this couple go as I don't think they deserved to be kicked out at this early stage, they definitely were not the worst in there. What does anybody else think ? Who are your favourites at the moment ? Who looks likely to go all the way to the final ?

I liked the couple that arlene slated - the one with the guy who's had no dance lessons. I thought the routine was really good. Also lovin' the 1940's style couple (can't remember names) although the bloke looked uncomfortable.

Cannot see how that fat scottish girl and partner got that far - thought they were dreadful

I thought Dan and Michelle had a brilliant attitude - they were so happy to be getting free tuition from experts - but their dancing wasn't great, so perhaps it's right that they went.

I also think the guy who is a novice (James?) is doing well, and although his partner, Rebecca is good, he's got such a long way to go to catch up with the others.

Claire - the less than skinny Scottish girl - is apparently excellent at the spinning moves - I do think they have some charisma as a couple.

The ones that surprised me were the 1950s couple (Paul and Natasha?). She made quite a good fist of that Cuban Salsa but he couldn't have looked more uncomfortable. It will be interesting to see if they can develop into decent dancers.

I love this show - yes it's mega-camp but a refreshing early Saturday night bit of light entertainment.

It is much better now they have the final 10 couples. The audition stages were pants!!!!

Loving it now tho - especially Claire and James and Paul and Natasha.

Love Adam and Rebecca too! He is such a natural talent!

I like Adam and Rebecca too although they probably shouldn't win the whole thing, I think Claire is good at spinning but can she do much else ? Don't like the late 30s couple, they are good at the lindy hop but I didn't think their salsa was anything special. i think that Sadie and Joseph and Gem and Gemma have got good skills and lots of charisma although both blokes love themselves ! I hope that the public vote for who they think has the most talent rather than for those they feel sorry for (sympathy vote)

I agree on the sympathy vote miaviv - it would be nice if the winners turn out to be good dancers as well as nice people!

Is the house that they're staying in the original Fame Academy house? It looks very similar to me.

But I think with SCD there was never a time when the celebs majorly messed up (quite an achievement) and when they did in rehearsal they showed it.

Who told some of those people they could dance? Why did the producers of the program let them go through?

Natasha and Paul I find cringingly embarrassing ........... lets hope the rest of the couples are better.

Hmm wonder who will go tonight? I think it should be Paul and Natasha - he's terrible - poor guy, it's embarrassing - he should stick to the Lindy Hop!

i agree. i loved paul and natasha from the start, but paul just can't dance. he's probably taken twenty years to perfect the lindy-hop and he looks like a drunk uncle at a wedding leering over a bridesmaid in every other dance.

it's a shame as i like them both, whereas i'd like to see joseph go if he wasn't so darn good

Was it just me, or when Zoe Ball was dishing out the dances for next week was any body else wishing Paul and Natasha would get the Lambada ... so disappointed when they drew the Charleston! Another quality TV moment wasted there I think. Oh well, still got the memories of the dad-dancing attempt at Salsa to keep me tittering. I know, it's a bit mean but .........

Also, if the costume designer approached me with a yellow outfit I'd run in the other direction 'cos the yellow/gold little numbers seem to ensure you a place in the bottom 2 and then the boot. I'm now on yellow outfit allert to see if my theory holds good for another week. Of course, it could just be they are bad - all those tassles not a good look.

Paul and Natasha should really go home, and if past voting shows are anything to go by, the ones that just escaped this week will be the ones going home next week, that is usually the way - like Casey and Toby will probably not last long as they were the next to bottom last Saturday. I think the best in there are Jodie and Danny, Gem and Gemma and Sadie and Joseph although the last two blokes I mentioned really get on my nerves but they can dance !

How brilliant were Cem and Gemma tonight? I thought they were amazing and Joseph and Sadie were pretty good too.

Think it might be Toby and Casey out tonight - even Paul and Natasha were better than they were last week.
