Yes I agree on the variety of styles view. Dance is a bit of a mix between art and sport (in my humble opinion) so there will always be an element of resonal taste,.

However, this contest was supposedly judged on the basis that they were looking for dancers who were able to do a job based on certain technical criteria (amongst other things) and even to my un-trained eye, J&C were just... well: dull! Their routines just didnt have the dynamic content of some of the other couples due to their feet being very firmly on the ground.

I think they both seemed really nice people but this was not meant to be a popularity contest.

Strictly Dance Cheats? - 2005/06/14 21:39
Hey have u heard the gossip?

Sadie Flower has been under contract to Luca Tomassini since she won 'Bump & Grind' http://www.idigitalsales.co.uk/tvchannels/channeln ews.cfm?sectionid=3 (scroll down to near the bottom for article about Sadie) last August. As part of her prize she won a year-long contract with Vibes UK http://www.vibesuk.com/ This company was set up by Luca Tomassini and a partner in 1999 therefore all the time she was in SDF, she was under contract to Luca Tomassini and his company.

Joseph, meanwhile, despite claiming he was never trained actually attended Clarendon College studying jazz, ballet and street dance for 3 years (as reported on this BBC website here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nottinghamshire /4611051.stm )

Does this smell like a fix to you? Why did neither of them declare these facts? Why was Luca allowed to sit as a judge having a vested interest in one of his clients winning this competition? Did the BBC know about this?

There are many questions but who will give us the answers?

A disappointed sdf fan

By the way. This is the site I found it on. Why not give it a look. There are some pretty mad replies on there.

Go into forums. Then spin offs. Then SDF and you'll see it in there

Woa! I knew it! There was just no way that a couple who performed so consistently well as Danny & Jodie should not have won this contest.
I have said all along that the whole thing de-generated into a Joseph & Sadie PR excercise and the BBC did nothing to maintain an even and fair approach to the production content of both the main show and the BBC3 sister program.
Well done for fing this Lou Lou! Question is what next? I for one would like to make representations to the Beeb about it. Clearly they have something to answer for.
As for J&S, they should also be asked to answer for their cover-ups.
Also, at the very least, Jodie and Danny should be made aware of this. Knowing that they lost through no fault of their own can only help to ease their pain.
Again, well done Lou!

Absolutely agree with you, it is a fix. Danny and Jody were robbed of the title, and Sadie and Joseph basically lied their way into the program. And Luca should be ashamed of himself for not declaring an interest. Obviously, given a choice of two couples who are very close in ability, he's going to go for "his" girl. How about going to the papers on it?

Hey,
You dont have to go to the papers it was in the daily mirror today. Go into google and search for strictly come dancing online. thats where I get all my info from. When you get on the site go into forums then into spin offs and you'll find SDF. Click on that and then you'll find Strictly Dance cheats

Thanks. I hate the official sites on things like this. They think they can take your money, votes wise ( am savvy to that now, only voted once) and get you to invest in the people on the programme, then....ZILCH.

It makes me mad! I wanna know how all of them are doing AFTER the programme.

Hello again all
I have been waiting with baited breath to see if ANYBODY will do the right thing here.

It is obvious what should be done. Expose J&S for the cheats and frauds they really (Oh, Sorry, that has already happened!) and then award the title to the runners up and true deserving champions, Danny & Jodie. Is this so difficult to see? Why are the BBC doing nothing?

Does anybody know any of the production staff at the Beeb? Surely we can get some feedback from them.

Who was it said that 'for evil to prosper, all it takes is for good men to do nothing' or something like that; you get the drift.

Come on Beeb, lets see some action. Do the right thing...

Keep the posts coming guys & gals

Hi there, BBC issued a statement saying they were aware sadie had won bump and grind, and Luca was only 1 judge out of 4!!! So dont think anything is happening there!!! Maybe if everyone writes/fones/texts something will happen!!!

Yes MMM I agree, we should all contact thje Beeb and demand some action. I have already sent a number of emails but surprise surprise, no response.

What we need is someone as a lead into the Beeb who knows somebody there etc.

So, how about an 'electronic petition'! Maybe Jodie could get something set up on her web site for us all to register?

Take care

Bit of a long shot, but in the penultimate round, 4 of the couples danced Flamenco style in the second show of the night. Well I think it was Flamenco - there were lots of hand claps, and long frilly gowns, and flowers in the hair. But does anyone know what the song was called that they were dancing to? Thankyou.
