Hi, Firstly hello to everyone, I have just registered today and this is my first post!
I was wondering if anyone could please help me with the following query.
I view BBC iplayer on my TV (a 25" Panasonic 4:3 CRT) via a Talk Talk Huawei DN360T box. The issue I have is that when watching studio based shows such as Pointless, HIGNFY, The One Show etc they have a "filmic" look and at times is very blurry, this is especially noticable on the end credits. ITV Player also suffers from the same problem, yet when I watch 4OD eg.Countdown the picture is perfect and like watching it live.
I did contact the BBC who replied with the following :

Thank you for contacting the BBC iPlayer Support Team.
I understand you have a question about the picture quality on iPlayer.
The differences in picture quality you are experiencing is most likely down to the difference in technology being used to film studio shows at each station.
We would suggest changing the picture definition when watching iPlayer. So if you are watching in HD change to SD and vice versa.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have tried changing the settings on the box as suggested but it makes no difference at all.
Anybody else experiencing the same/any ideas to rectify it etc?
Thanks for reading
