Hopkins will win, but she wouldn't without the help of the anti-Perez votes. She's been mean, petty, bullying and hypocritical, yet all is forgiven because the majority of her bile is aimed at Perez.

It's certainly a major advantage for him ..especially because he's alone.

Editing wise they can only show people bitching about him....while he has nobody to bitch with ....so he'll always look the innocent party as he can't be shown bitching.
